Please Don't Leave Us

"Luke! Luke!" I yelled as I went over to where Luke was lying on the ground with a gunshot to his chest.

"What the hell, Nathan!" I heard David say and that was when the police arrived. They walked over to where David and Nathan were standing and arrested both of them, along with Ashley but I didn't care about anything else but Luke in that moment.

"You're going to be okay." I said as I held onto him.

"I-I'm sorry." He said barely being able to speak.

"No. No. Don't apologize. Please, just hold on okay? I can't lose you. We can't lose you. Please, Luke. Please don't leave us." I said as tears streamed down my face.

"I-I l-love y-you." He said barley making the words.

"I love you too. So much and you have to stay alive. You have to stay alive for me and for our kids, Evelyn needs you. Our babies are going to need you. Please Luke." I said desperately as I saw him struggling to keep his eyes open.

"Y-you're going t-to be fine w-without me. P-promise me that you'll be happy without me." He said.

"No. No I'm not going to promise that because you're not dying!" I said crying.

"P-promise me." He insisted.

"No, Luke. Stop! Stop, okay? I can't lose you. I don't want to lose you." I said in tears

"P-promise me. I-I need to know that you'll be okay without me." He insisted again.

"Okay. Okay. I promise but please don't die on me." I said.

"Liam, take care of my girls okay?" Luke said looking over at Liam who was crying as he held onto my sleeping daughter.

"I will but so will you. You can't die on me man, you promised that you'd be my baby's Godfather." Liam said and Luke smiled.

"You're going to make a great dad." Luke said.

"And you are a great dad so don't leave you children without a father." Liam said and Luke kept struggling to stay conscious.

"He's right. You are a great dad and you need to stay alive for our kids." I said looking down and Luke and he smiled.

"I love you." He said as his eyes closed and he became unconscious.

"Luke! No. No." I cried and that was when the paramedics finally arrived and took him in the ambulance. I went with him and Liam told me that he'd meet me at the hospital but that he'd go pick up Amelia first. He also said that he'd call Luke's dad and Sofia. The whole ride, I watched as the paramedics worked to save Luke's life and I just kept praying and praying that he would be okay. I can't live without him, I don't want to live without him. When we got to the hospital they told me to say in the waiting area until they could tell me what was going on. After a few minutes Mr. Anderson, Sofia and Caleb arrived and then Liam and Amelia, with my daughter, arrived. I walked over and took Evelyn from Liam's arms and held onto her tightly. Just the thought of losing almost tore me apart and I just couldn't live without her. Then Luke's dad asked me if he could hold her and I handed her over to him.

"Have they told you anything about Luke?" Amelia asked.

"They haven't told me anything. I don't know if he's going to make it or not and if he dies- If he dies-" I started saying with tears forming in my eyes.

"Hey. Hey. He's going to be okay, Luke is strong and he's fighter, he's going to be okay." Liam said as he whipped the tears from my cheek.

"I'm so scared." I said and just started crying. Then Liam hugged me and just let me cry.
