*weeks later*
"I can't believe that I'm getting married in a week!" Sofia said as we were the mall shopping, having some girl time.
"I'm so happy for you, Caleb is an amazing guy and I'm more than certain that he'll make you extremely happy." I said.
"But honestly, I never thought that I would get married before my brother.." She and I laughed.
"Under different circumstances we probably would have already been married by now and with more kids.." I said and it was the truth.
"You're so right. I'm actually surprised that he hasn't asked you to marry him by now." Amelia said.
"We've been back together for like a month and a half." I said.
"So. You guys are madly in love with each other, you already dated for two years, and you have a daughter together. I honestly would not be surprised if he decided to pop the question one of these days." Amelia said and she had me thinking a lot. What if he didn't want to marry me. What if everything that has happened made him not want to marry me. "Lydia, that boy loves you more than anything. He wants to marry you. Maybe he's just trying to figure out when the right time is." Amelia said as if she'd read my mind and I nodded my head in agreement, hoping she was right. We kept walking, going from store to store laughing and talking enjoying the time together when suddenly I felt really dizzy and kind of lost my balance for a minute. I held onto Amelia trying not to fall and she gave me a worried look.
"Are you okay?" She asked and it took me a minute to recover before I could speak.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just got super dizzy for a second there." I said adjusting my eyes.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Sofia said.
"Yeah, it's nothing. It's probably because I didn't sleep well last night because Evelyn had a fever again. It's like the fever only comes at night because during the day yesterday she was perfectly fine and this morning too but the whole night she had a fever." I said reassuring them.
"Are you sure it's only that." Amelia said.
"Yes, I'm sure." I said but I wasn't really sure. After that they decided that we should probably go home now so that I could get some rest. I kept insisting that I was fine but they wouldn't listen. When I got home Luke and Evelyn was asleep in our room and I took my shoes of and laid in bed with them and fell asleep too.
"Lydia? What time did you get here?" Luke said when we both started to wake up.
"Around noon. I saw you guys asleep and I was super tired too so I just fell asleep too." I said. "How has she been feeling, did the fever come back?"
"She's a lot better, and no the fever did not come back and hopefully it won't tonight." He said and kissed me on my forehead. The rest of the day we pretty much just laid in bed watching movies and when Evelyn woke up we watched the movies she wanted to watch. Evelyn seemed to feel a lot better tonight and the fever did not come back so we all were able to get a good night sleep and the next day she seemed like all her energy was back.
"So, I was thinking that since Evelyn was feeling a lot better today we could go out for dinner tomorrow. We could have a date night." Luke said as we were eating dinner.
"I would love that." I said with a smile.
"Great." He said. So that's what we did the next day. We took Evelyn to Liam and Amelia's house and we went out.
"So, where are we going?" I said when we got in the car.
"It's a surprise." He said. "And by the way I'm gonna need to blindfold you."
