Silence.

The whole room went silent when Luke was done talking. Not a single word came out of any of their mouths.

"Oh. Luke." Sofia finally said after a while.

"You were drug dealing?" His dad sad in an angry tone. "How could you be so stupid?!" He continued to say.

"I felt like I had no other choice dad. You were drinking day and night and I had to find a way to pay for bills and for the food. What was I supposed to do?!" Luke said getting upset.

"Anything else! Anything else but that!" His dad said angrily.

"I had to do something, we were running of the money with had left and there were so many bills from the hospital and I had to find a way to get the money quick. I couldn't just let us lose everything, I couldn't let Sofia suffer any more. I had to do something."

"Becoming a drug dealer is not the right thing to do." His dad sad calming down a bit more.

"I know that. That is why I stopped because I realized that I had made a mistake and that there were other solutions but I was just so taken over by grief that I wasn't thinking straight. Being with Lydia was what made me realize that what I was doing was wrong. Being with her saved me. She was the light at the end of the tunnel. She gave me hope, she gives me hope." He said squeezing my hand tight and looked deep into my eyes. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything, I'm sorry for disappointing you, I'm sorry for leaving the way I did. I'm sorry." Luke said in tears as he turned back to face his dad and his dad walked closer to him and hugged him, I let go of his hand and let them have there moment.

"I should be the one apologizing for putting you in the position I put you in. You and Sofia had just lost your mom and I was weak. I wasn't there for you guys, I locked myself in my own world and I was selfish. You did what you thought was best at the moment and I'm not disappointed in you, no on the contrary I'm proud of you, I'm proud of the wonderful man you have become. You put your own happiness aside and your life on hold to protect the people you love, to make right from your wrongs. I am proud of you son." He said and Luke hugged him again with tears falling down his cheeks and I couldn't help but cry myself. When they stopped hugging I looked over and saw brother's eyes filled with guilt.

"Luke, man. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for hating you, I'm sorry for everything. I should have known better, you my best friend, my brother, I should have known better." Liam said.

"I'm just sorry that I didn't get to be your best man at your wedding like we always said I would be." Luke said and we all laughed.

"If it makes you feel any better I didn't really have a best man. It was a small ceremony and Lydia was technically the maid of honor and the best man." Liam said in between laughs.

"Yeah. It kind of does." Luke said still laughing a little. "But in all seriousness man, you don't have to apologize. I hurt your little sister and I hurt all of you, I get it. Let's just forget about all of that now." Luke said and they hugged like the bros that they are.

"Do I get a hug too." Amelia said standing behind Liam.

"Of course, shorty." Luke said and hugged her as Amelia laughed, Luke used to always call her that because she is the shortest one of all of us.

"And since you didn't get to be the best man at our wedding, I was wondering if you'd be our baby's godfather?" Amelia said when they stopped hugging.

"Really?" Luke said looking over at Liam.

"I wouldn't want anyone else. Plus I'm already your daughter's godfather so it was only be fair." He said and Luke smiled.

"I'd be honored to." He said and the three of them hugged. "Hey, Lydia. Come one over here." He said and I joined the group hug. When we all stopped hug Luke looked deeply into my eyes and kissed me. I could here gasps all across the room.

"Wait. Wait. What?" Sofia said walking towards us.

"What?" I said as if I didn't know what she was talking about.

"You're back together?" She asked cheerfully.

"I mean how could we not be." I said and hugged Luke from the side. Then she was hugging us while cheering with happiness.

"I missed you so much, little sis." Luke said smiling.

"I missed you too big bro and I am very happy to have you back." She said and hugged him.
"I always knew that there had to be a perfectly good explanation for why you left."  She continued to say when they stopped hugging.

"There is something else that we want to tell you guys." I said looking over at Amelia and Liam.

"I love you guys and I will always be extremely grateful for all that you've done for me and Evelyn but-" I said but I was interrupted by Amelia.

"You're stealing her from us." She said looking over at Luke and he walked over to stand closer to me and put his arm around my shoulder.

"I'm sorry I just want the three of us to be a family. I want to make up for lost time." He said.

"Okay. Fine but you have to visit all the time okay?" She said.

"I will." I said.

"Promise." She said like a little kid.

"I'm promise, now come here big baby." I said and hugged her.

"I don't know what we're gonna do without having you and Evelyn around all the time." Liam said.

"Don't worry when this baby comes you'll have a lot to do." I said rubbing Amelia's stomach. "I mean, you guys know how Evelyn was. I didn't sleep for like three whole months." I said chuckling.

"I wish I could have been here to help you." Luke said in a sad tone.

"Hey. It's okay. You're here now and don't worry you'll be doing a lot of helping when we have other kids." I said looking at him from the side.

"Oh. So we're having more kids?" He said jokingly.

"I mean, in the future I was hoping yes.." I said in a worried tone.

"I'm joking." He said and I kissed him, then hugged him.

"I missed you so much." I said squeezing him tight. After a while Luke decided to go to his dad's house so that they could talk and catch up and I stayed home.

"So?" Amelia said walking into my room.

"What?" I said.

"C'mon. You know what I'm talking about. What made you decide to go see him in the middle of the night?"

"I had a dream. It was more of a memory but I remembered the day that I was going to tell him how I felt and I found him with Rachel at his house. I remembered how I felt like maybe if I had told him sooner, we would have had more time to be together and I didn't want it to be too late again so suddenly I found myself standing outside his door and telling him how much I loved him."

"And then what happened?"

"He told me that he wanted me to know the truth before anything else happened so he told me everything and then-" I started to say but paused.

"Then what, Lydia." Amelia said.

"Then we had sex." I said slowly and quietly waiting for her reaction.

"Are you serious?" She said.

"Yes and it was amazing, it felt like the first time all over again. God, I love him so much." I said remembering last night.

"I'm glad so see you this happy again. I thought I would never see that smile again."

"I know. I thought I'd never be happy again but I am and I'm the happiest I've ever been and now I just never want to let him go."

"I'm sure he'll ask you to marry him anytime soon, I mean why wait?" Amelia said and I laughed.

"I would love to be his wife more than anything in this world." I said and smiled.
