Normal P.O.V.
"Are you going to tell him?" Amelia asked me.
"I can't." I said.
"Why not?" She said.
"Because, he already hates himself for putting us all in danger and if he finds out that I'm pregnant he'll hate himself even more. He doesn't need this to top his list of things to worry about."
"But he deserves to know and he seemed so hurt about the fact he didn't know about Evelyn and he missed so many moments in her life really hurt him."
"I know. I know. And I will tell him, when all of this is over. It's just not the right time." I said.
"Lydia Montgomery?" The nurse said and we stood up.
"Right here." I said and walked towards her.
"Okay, come on back." She said and we walked towards the room. "The doctor will be right with you." She said and left the room.
"Lydia. How are you doing today?" The doctor said walking into the room after a few minutes.
"I'm good. I just want to make sure that everything is okay with my baby." I said.
"And I'm sure it everything is perfectly fine. Okay? You know the drill, this might be a little cold." She said and I smiled nervously. She then moved the screen so that could see the monitor better. "Okay so here we have a very healthy heartbeat." She said and I felt relieved but then her facial expression changed and I got worried.
"What? What is it? What's wrong?" I said really worried.
"No. Nothing is wrong. It's just that I am finding two heartbeats." She said.
"Are you saying that-?" I started to say but I couldn't finish the sentence.
"Congratulations, you are having twins." She said and a smile creeped on my face. I did not see that one coming.
"Oh. My. God." I heard Amelia say.
"Are they okay? Is everything okay?" I said.
"Yes. You have two perfectly healthy babies." She said and I smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
"Now. You just have to focus on taking care of these two little blessings and enjoy your pregnancy. Okay? Here is a sonogram for you. You're all set to go and please say hi to Evelyn for me, such a cute little girl." She said and I smiled, I've known Dr. Nelson since I was a little girl. She was really close with my parents because they grew up together and she knew my whole story. I said my goodbyes and Amelia and I left.
"Twins?" Amelia said when we were in the car.
"Twins." I said still in shock.
"You have to tell Luke." She said and I knew she was right.
"I know. I know." I said and then I drove to Liam and Amelia's house, where Luke was also at. We told them that we were just going to have lunch together to have some girl talk, so that they wouldn't ask questions.
"Hey, babe. Did you enjoy your girl time?" Luke asked me when I walked into the house.
"Yeah. It was nice." I said and gave him a kiss, then I looked over at Amelia and she was giving me a 'tell him already' look and I rolled my eyes. I knew I had to tell him and I wanted I tell but I just couldn't find the right time. It had been three days since the wedding and since the whole David thing happened. I could tell that Luke was worried and stressed because he didn't want to leave but he didn't want to put any of us in danger. He thought about just telling the police but he was scared that David would find out and get mad and hurt one of us. I knew that if he knew that I was pregnant he would feel even worse that he does now and he'd hate himself for putting his unborn children in danger. He already feels terrible for putting Evelyn in danger. I just- he didn't get to find out that I was pregnant with Evelyn, he didn't get to be a part of my pregnancy, he didn't get to be there when she was born and I just want this pregnancy to have happy moments for him.
