Today I said I hated you

You packed your bags and left

I didn’t even try to stop you

I watched you drive away

When I went to bed that night

It finally hit me you was gone

But I didn’t cry

I thought it was for the best

The next day

Today I woke up

The bed was empty

I finally let my emotions out

I text you saying ‘I love you’

You didn’t get back to me

An hour later I got a text from Paul

He said we have an interview today

I was worried because I knew it was about us

But I didn’t let it show

When I finally arrived at the interview

You wouldn’t look at me

I acted like it didn’t bother me

But inside I was dying

After sitting in silence for what felt like hours

We was finally led to the interview room

Management seated us together

I didn’t want to because I thought you was mad

But I didn’t let it show

When I sat down I kept my eyes glued to the floor

I only looked up when the interviewer said ‘Zayn we hear you have a question for Liam’  

I looked over to see you on one knee

You were holding a box

When you opened the box it had a ring in it

When I looked from the ring to you

You said ‘Liam I know we had an argument last night but I don’t want anyone but you, will you do the honour of becoming my husband?’

I didn’t answer instead I got of my seat and kissed you

 You smiled and said ‘Is that a yes?’

I just smiled and nodded

You took the ring out of the box and gently put it on my finger

It fit perfectly

On the outside it said ‘Liam James Payne’

On the inside it said ‘Liam James Malik’

I smiled at you and said ‘I love you’

I hoped after the engagement things would get better

 But they only got worse

We argued every single day

It got so bad I left you

I gave my resignation into management

It’s been a year since I last saw you

I see the boys whenever they get time off

They told me that you still haven’t got over me

But then again I still tell them I love you
