Prologue
I can remember the sound of sirens roaring in my ears, echoing throughout my mind. Groans coming from outside can barely be heard over the wails. I stand still, frozen in fear, realizing that the impossible has happened.
For weeks after that, Aurora and I were on our own. Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I? I'm Luna. Aurora and I are the most sarcastic 16 year old girls you will ever meet. Anyway, like I said, we were on our own for a long time after that. Running from house to house, grabbing what we can and running to a small shelter that we had found. The shelter was just a small hardware store found a couple blocks away from my home. We boarded it up and it was practically indestructible. Hardware stores are really handy in the apocalypse. But soon enough, our story changed.
Alright. I guess I need to clear up some questions. What is happening? Well... A zombie apocalypse is taking place. How did this happen? Scientists, over the past couple years, have been working on a gas that will cure cancer. They decided a few months ago that it was ready, and they released it. Except, as it seems, the exact opposite has happened. This probably isn't making a lot of sense is it? Here, I'll just start from the beginning.
