Chapter 17

You Would Never Come Around

Kali POV

This Morning:

I was cleaning before I heard the doorbell ring. I went and opened it.

"Who are you?!" some girl said.

"Um, you came to my house. Who are you?"

"I'm Andrea. I'm here to see Khalif." she said flipping her hair.

"I'm Khalif's girlfriend, so why are you here?!"

"Because he hasn't been properly taking care of our child, probably because he's over here with you."

"Wait a minute, he's has another child." I said nearly losing my mind.

"Another? He got you pregnant too?"

"Yeah, but he never told me about another child."

"Vice versa"

"Are you sure it's his?"

"Oh, I don't have to lie about that. It's his."

This girl obviously didn't know about me or Nalani. I didn't know whether I wanted to beat this chicks ass or fuck Khalif up. I think I'll go with option #2.

"But you can have Khalif, if that's your boyfriend."

"Just go. J- just go!" I said slamming the door.

I got up and knocked down anything in sight. I went upstairs and got Nalani. I couldn't stay here anymore.

"Mommy, where are we going?"

"We're going to stay somewhere else for a while." I said. I didn't even know where we were going but it wouldn't be here.

"Is daddy coming?"

"No he's not. Just grab your stuff and let's go!" I yelled.

"I wanna stay with daddy." she said.

"Nalani, this is serious. You can't stay with him!"

"Daddy?" she called walking in his room. "Daddy?"

"Lani, stop it." I whispered as I noticed him waking up.

He yawned. "What's wrong?"

"Mommy is l-" she started before I covered her mouth.

"Nothing we were about to go out for a ride."

"Mhmm" he turned over and went back to sleep.

In The Car:

I put Nalani in her car seat. Then I put  my stuff in the trunk. I gave her my iPad so she could stop crying. I got in the driver's seat and turned up the radio. I decided to used the Aux Cord since Come Get Her came on. I didn't wanna hear his voice at all. Instead, I turned on London Bridge by Jhene Aiko & Big Sean and began to drive.

I was angry but not with that girl or Khalif. I was angry with me because I stayed with him. I just need to get myself together. I might just go MIA for a while.

I heard everything must come to an end

Well hopefully the end ain't near

Or for that matter even clear
