I guess that IS the reality of the situation. Perri Kiely has just broke up with me. He clearly doesn't need me. I sigh and switch off the TV. What I need now is rest. Mum says I have to go for that costume fitting. The start of movie shooting is only in a few days. I have to bring life to my character if I want to get anywhere...

The next day, Mum suggests I go and see Dr Wyfle. He is a psychologist that saw me for a while towards the end of my time in the competition. It was around the time that I kissed Mitch and Perri and I broke up. I was confused and angry...I even cut myself. But now...I have bigger problems.

I am so relieved now that Mum is my manager again. She knows just what to do with me, and how to do it. And she makes sure I'm on time.

I'm not at all nervouse to see Dr Wyfle. I don't know...it just seems easy talking to him. He's kind of like...my best friend in a way. Okay, I know how weird that sounds.

It is a Saturday but Gina is at a friend's house. I'm glad because it is always quite embarrassing to go and see the doctor while she's there. Its just me and my mother...

"So, how are you Amber?" Dr Wyfle says, smiling.

"I'm okay...not brilliant..." I say.

"And how is everything going with your dancing career?"

"Well...I'm doing a movie in a few days..."

"Ok, that's good..." He says, nodding. "How is everything going with your relationship?"

Relationship? There is NO relationship at the moment.

"Well..." I say. "Perri and I have decided that..."

Mum looks at me confusingly.

"We're not dating anymore..." I say, firmly.

Mum gasps. Why didn't I tell her this earlier?

"What?" She says. "Why? I thought you just had a conversation-"

"Um, Mrs Hallico..." Dr Wyfle says. "Let Amber talk."

Mum nods, and sits back in her chair.

"I felt like...we kept getting in each other's way...and there's a lot going on in my life right now..." I say.

"Like what?" Dr Wyfle says.

"Just..." I say. "A lot of things. I have my career to worry about. And my relationship. And family-my Dad is getting married tomorrow. Also...my friends. They've been going through a lot too..."

"I see..." He says, nodding.

Mum looks at me.

"Would you like to tell Dr Wyfle what happened yesterday?" She says.

Mum!

"Oh, yes..." Dr Wyfle says. "Your Mum told me that you were hurt and-"

"I don't really want to talk about it..." I say.

"Amber..." Mum says. "You need to tell someone..."

"I told Perri..." I mutter.

"Well you and Perri aren't dating, so thefore, you need to tell somebody else..." Mum says.

"I DON'T want to talk about it!" I shout. "Leave me alone!"

Dr Wyfle frowns.

"Mrs Hallico, I'm sorry but I think it would be best if you left Amber and I alone for a while..." He says.

No. I don't want to be left alone."Now"Okay..." Mum says, getting up going out of the door. She closes it behind her.

"Now..." Dr Wyfle says. "You don't have to tell me about it...but I just want to know who it involved."
