Are you kidding me right now?

I swear the look on my face and Perri's could win us oscars.

"Ummm....what just happened?" I say turning to face him.

"Your Mum is dating Freddie's Dad.." Perri says before sighing heavily.

I am so lost right now...

"I'm going to kill Mum." I say, with gritted teeth.

"Really?" Perri says, before smiling and putting his arms around my waist.

I nod. I don't really feel like being all lovey dovey with him right now.

"Yes. Aren't Freddie's parents married?" I ask.

Perri shakes his head.

"Come with me..." He says.

We walk upstairs and come to a room where there are a lot of books. He picks one out.

"This is an album.." He says.

He flicks through the pictures. Perri as a little boy with Freddie- both here at Danceworks.

"He used to take lessons here?" I ask.

"Yes- with me. He stopped when I joined Diversity..." He says.

"Oh." I say, looking at the pictures closely.

"His Mum and Dad split around the same time as yours. He was heartbroken, but he still visits his Dad. And favours him..."

I wonder where his Mum is right now? What she's thinking?

"How long do you think they've been dating?" Perri asks as we stare at a picture of Freddie and his Dad at Danceworks.

"Mum started going out late at night to 'work' three months ago." I say. "Do you think that long? How come Freddie never told you?"

"We drifted apart. Only when Limitless was announced he wanted to be my friend again.." Perri says, closing the album. "And of course when he was in The Dance Factor. Maybe he had a crush on you."

"That's silly.." I say, as he puts the album away.

"But it's really possible. Lots of guys did. That's until he met Lucy.." Perri says.

"How did Mum meet him?"

Perri shrugs.

"That will remain a mystery..." Perri says. "Do you want to go home now?"

"Gina will probably stay at Tamara's...." I say, texting her.

I actually really want to see Freddie.

"I was thinking..." I say to him.

"What?"

"Well...the hospital's not far.."

"You want to see Freddie."

"Yeah I-"

"No, no. I understand- I just don't want you to feel upset." He says.

"I'm almost eighteen. I think I can handle it..."

"Yeah, but I met you when you were sixteen. I still think you're a baby.."

Wait, what? Oh he did meet me when I was sixteen. Right before my birthday. I laugh.

"Just take me to the hospital. I'll ask Mum to pick me up from there..." I say.

We get into his car. The drive isn't long. I have this weird funny feeling when I visit a sick person. I just pray Lucy isn't there. Perri faces me.
