The Day We Met (Captain Swan)

Chapter 27

{Writer's POV}

"...Killian... I'm pregnant"

After whispering herself something she had kept between her and her mom for one month now, and based on her symptoms, a cursed necklace and another few resources Emma and Snow know they can trust, they know for sure Emma is in fact pregnant and is not just some sickness, she pretty much ran back to the castle, threw the door open and went directly to her mother's embrace.

After a few minutes they went up to Killian and Emma's room, sat down on their big, comfy bed.

"Did you tell him, Em?"

She shakes her head, a few more tears running down her cheeks slowly. "I couldn't. I guess I was so caught up in the moment and in the fact that he was leaving for who knows how long"

Snow sighs. "It's alright Emma"

"No it isn't! He has no idea that I'm expecting a baby! His baby!"

"You have no idea, maybe he will come back in a week, you can tell him then and marry him and continue your happy life"

Emma just nods, appreciating the fact that her mom is trying her best to confort her. And maybe she is right, it is possible for Killian to come back in a week.

"Just rest, Em" Snow says and helps Emma into her bed just like she used to when she was just a little kid.

Once Snow leaves the room Emma cuddles herself with Killian's pillow, which smells like him and after a long time of trying, she finally falls asleep.

But it seem that Snow, for the first time, wasn't right. And not at all.

Killian didn't come back in one week, in fact he didn't come back in months, 42 to months to be precise. That is 3 and a half years.

Three and a half years which Emma wasn't herself not anymore. Of course she is better than she was when he first left, bu she never went back to being the funny, happy and playful self she used to be when Killian was with her.

Emma and her family had welcomed a beautiful girl, now of the age of 3 years, whom they names Caroline Amelia Swan. Nothing would have made Emma happier than Caroline to have had her father's last name, just like Emma was supposed to when she was engaged with him. Exactly, engaged. Emma is no longer engaged with Killian, she needs to get married, since due to her society, being and un-married 24 aged, soon to be 25, princess, isn't okay in any way, shape or form.

So that is why Emma is getting married in one week, with a prince in a not so far kingdom, named August W. Booth. Emma had met the prince before they were to be married, and he was always nice to Emma, but it was obvious, for both of them, that they were never going to be more than friends in their hearts.

Even though, August always tried to impress her and always treats her well, he knows that Emma will never love him like she loves Killian. He knows what happened between them and he knows she still loves him, but she always denies it, trying to be strong for her daughter.

Caroline is a really happy and active toddler. She resembled Killian a lot, with her beautiful blue eyes she obviously got from her father and her well-defined face. She's also got his eyebrows. So it was pretty much impossible for Emma to forget about Killian, like she has tried millions of times, with a living image of their little girl.

From time to time Caroline would ask who her father is and how he is, and Emma would always give her the same answer: 'he can't be with us right now, sweetie.', receiving a nod and a sad look from Caroline. And then they would proceed to hug each other as if they were hugging Killian. It was hard for Emma, since she had promised herself to not love him anymore and to forget about him.

All this happened about twice a week. It was like a routine.

As in for Killian, he became the most feared pirates of all, Captain Hook, 'a merciless pirate with no heart and a hook for his left hand', as people would refer to him. But he was all that before because he had a broken heart, when he left Emma it was not only to avenge his brother's death, it was also because he thought it was best for her, he knew he couldn't give her everything she deserved, plus, he was completely broken after Liam's death. And Emma deserves someone strong.

Every woman Killian went out with would somehow resemble Emma in one way or another. He would never forget her, he would never stop loving her, and that's what made him merciless, teh fact that he'd never have her back in his strong arms again.

Once Killian heard of her wedding he knew he had to make an appearance, he knows Emma all too well, he knows she hasn't orgoten him because what they had, and still have is true love. And he needs to see her, so he goes back to Mist Haven, the pleace he once called home, and gets there exactly two days before the wedding.

Sorry for not posting in SO long! Is just that I have been going crazy because of a lil diner I'm having with my friends next Saturday and I really planned to post yesterday but it was my birthday so I had no time!
