Chapter 15

{Writer's POV}
3 weeks later

Emma was a wreck. And so was Killian.
They told each other they would remain friends. But of course they weren't.

How can you even be friends with your ex, who you still have strong feelings for you. And they have strong feelings for you.

You just can't. Is like a life rule. It's not possible.
At least to Emma.
And Killian.

All Emma wanted to do was run as fast as she could to wherever Killian was at the moment and hug him so tight.

But she wasn't going to do that. What kind of person would she be? Break up with someone and then hug him as if nothing happened.

She couldn't do that. She would feel bad. Because she wasn't sure Killian still felt the same way about her anymore.

She lead him to agree with her and break up. Why would he want to be with her? There is no reason at all..
In Emma's mind at least.

But Killian never stopped having strong feelings for Emma. With every passing second away from Emma, his feelings became bigger and he knew he wasn't going to be able to be without her for more time.

3 weeks, 2 days and 5 hours to be exact is the amount of time they have been apart.
And neither of them could handle a second more.

But that was life. Not everything happened like  you want it to happen. Unless of course you are writing a story. And Emma nor Killian's life is a story, so things don't always go how they like them to be.

But that's how you deal with stuff. You just learn and be strong, nothing else.

But Emma didn't feel like being strong anymore, if being strong meant being away from Killian, she's rather be weak her whole life.

Screw that, she'd rather be the most vulnerable person if that meant being with Killian.

But why was she feeling this way? 
Sure she likes him..
Sure she has strong feelings for him..
But does she love him?

Love is a very powerful word and feeling after all. And she has never felt love towards anyone. Only her parents, but that's other kind of love.

She has never felt anything she feels for Killian before. Not even close.
She thought she did with the unnamable.
With the guy she hasn't thought of since she met Killian.

She has been so happy with Killian. And she thought that was never happening again.

And she was wrong because is all over now.

Emma knew she had to get out of bed soon. She hasn't been doing a single productive thing since her and Killian broke up.

Ruby tried to get her out of bed but she only got to take her to the couch in her room.

Her parents were worried about her. They thought she would be better within days.
And they where mistaken.
Terribly mistaken.

After days (more like weeks) of Ruby's hard work, she finally got Emma to agree to go to the docks for a walk.

At first she didn't want to, knowing Killian would be there. But after Ruby's intense begging work, she agreed.

Killian wasn't going to be there, if Emma had luck.
But you never know what will happen, after all life is full of surprises. Like a A McDonald's happy meal box, you never know which toy you're going to get. Unless you ask for a specific one.
But Emma can't ask for Killian not being at the docks. It isn't in her hands. It is in faith's.

Once Emma was ready, which took long, her and Ruby went to the docks.

After a few minutes walking on the sand, Emma's eyes catch something. More like someone.

Killian.

"Ruby, what is he doing here?" Emma asks, nervously. She didn't want to see Killian.
Well, she did want to, but she knew that the moment she sees him she'll want to hug him and kiss him with everything in her.

"well, I'm sorry, Emma. Actually, I'm not. I know you need this" Ruby adds, leaving a confused Emma.

"What do you mean?"

"Whale and I agreed to bring you both here, you need to be together Emma, at least sort things out, be friends, be together, I don't know. But what I do know is that I can't keep seeing you like this, and Whale can't keep seeing Killian like that either." Ruby explains.

Emma had no idea how to feel or react. She was a shocked. Happy and mad at the same time. But she had no time to think since Whale and Killian were in front of them already.

"Sort things out" Ruby says before her and Whale leave together, leaving an awkward silence between the two love birds.

"H-hi" Emma whispered after a little. Not daring to look into Killian's eyes, afraid she'd melt the instant she sees those blue pearls.

"Hey" Killian adds, finding himself in the same situation as Emma.

After some time in awkward silence they finally looked up at each other.

And either of them could resist, in a matter of seconds they had their arms around each other in a very tight hug.

And neither of them dared to break each other's embrace. Since this is all they wanted for 3 weeks, 2 days and 5 hours.

"I miss being with you, Emma" Killian whispers into her hair.

Emma's head was resting on his shoulder as she was standing on her tippy toes.
"I miss you too, Killian" She whispers back.
"What do you say we go back together, love?" He asks and she looks up at him.

She was taken aback by his sudden question that she forgot to answer, making Killian nervous.

She then realized how he felt and she nodded.

"Yes, let's go back together" she said before pressing her lips on his' in a beautiful, heartwarming kiss as Emma's arms were around his neck and his arms around her waist, the space there once was between them, gone.
