{Writer's POV}
Present TimeShe has a daughter. And Emma couldn't be more disappointed in him, he could see it in her eyes.
He ruined everything he once had. Emma was happy with another man and raising a beautiful girl.He now had no chance to win Emma Swan back.
The next morning, they were all at the dining table, including August. Emma was silent all the time, trying to figure out what she was going to do with Killian. No one questioned her, knowing what was in her mind.
August was mad, Emma couldn't just go back to Killian, he left her. He couldn't understand why he came back.
Snow was somewhat happy that Killian was back after all Caroline is his daughter and he will always be Emma's true love. But she knew how bad Emma was suffering when he left.
Killian didn't even come out of his room, and of course, no one dared to even knock on his door. They all knew what was going on even though he didn't say anything, they knew their captain all too well.
Later that day Snow and Killian met at the castle. She wanted to talk to him about what would happen between him and Emma. And next, she planned to talk to her daughter. After all, Killian did come back.
"Good afternoon, your highness" Killian bowed. They sat in the living room.
"Look, Killian. I wanted to talk to you. What is going to happen between you and my daughter? She needs to get married soon and August won't just wait for something to happen. He will do anything in his power to marry Emma" Snow started.
Killian nodded. "Aye, I know that. And believe me when I say that I want nothing else but to have Emma back with me. I don't think she wants to be with me anymore but that doesn't mean that I will stop fighting for her because I won't. I need her back"
Snow nodded slowly, understanding him. "Listen, I will talk to Emma, but I don't promise anything."
Killian smiled. "Thank you, your highness. I will talk to Emma too"
"Call me Snow, you know that already"
"Aye, thank you" he said and went back to his ship.Snow walked towards Emma's room and knocked on the door slightly. She entered when she heard a muffled 'come in'
"Hey" she said almost in a whisper, noticing Caroline sound asleep.
"Hi, what is it?" She asked."I wanted to talk to you, Emma. About Killian. You need to make a decision soon, you marry August or you go back to Killian" She sighed but continued.
"Look, you may not know why he left, but you know he came back. Maybe if you talk to him you cant sort things out-"Emma interrupted. "I know why he left. He thought I would be safer and happier. He thought I deserved better. But mom, why couldn't he see how happy I was with him? Why couldn't he see how in love I was?" Emma asked, once agin in tears.
"My dear, that you'd have to ask him" Snow said and wipes her daughter's tears away.
"Give him a second chance, Emma. Everyone deserves one" Snow said and proceeded to kiss her daughter's forehead and leave the room.
Emma knew she needed to talk to Killian, again. So she went to his ship, knowing he would be there and leaving a sleeping Caroline with David.
Emma walked slowly once she was on his ship. She remembers it perfectly. Some of his crew members were new and others had stayed with him. Everyone greeted her with a bow and she smiled. After about 5 minutes of walking around, she decided it was time to finally knock on that door.
So she did, she didn't hear anything so she slowly entered."Who the bloody he-" Killian started but stopped once he saw who was inside his cabin.
"Swan" He sighed, staring intensely at her eyes."Hi" she whispered. "We need to talk... Again"
He nodded. "Aye, come"
He guided her towards his bed and they both sat down."I want you to tell me, in all honesty, why didn't you see how happy I was with you?" Emma asked firmly.
Killian looked down. "I knew you were happy, Em. But a life with me couldn't be compared to what you could have had with a prince"
"But why would I want a prince, Killian? I had everything with you"
He sighed. "Because I was never enough, Emma"
There was a long pause."Why would you say that?" She asked, confused. It seemed the only way she had been feeling lately was confused.
"My father left me, so did my mother and my brother, it wouldn't have been strange if you did too""Killian! That is not true! I wouldn't have left you for anything! You were my everything." Emma exclaimed. Tears pooling in her eyes. She was more than tired of crying but she couldn't help it.
"But it seems everything was the other way around. You left me" She added as she finally let the tears start flowing down her cheeks, only making Killian feel more guilty.
He slowly wrapped his arms around her and only hugged her tightly when he was sure she wouldn't pull away and leave. She was so sick of everything that all she needed was a hug from him to realize that he was telling her nothing but the truth. She knew how guilty he felt. So she let him calm her.
She was crying hard, her face resting on his chest as his arms were securely around her back.
"I am so sorry Emma" he whispered and slowly but soothingly ran his hands up and down her back.
"I just wanted to be happy, Killian. That's all I ever wanted" she cried. He rested his head on top of hers, holding her as close as humanly possible.
"I know. I'm sorry""I know" She whispered.
"Just, please, don't ever leave me again" She looked up at him with the most pitiful look he had ever seen in his life.He kissed her forehead slowly and nodded.
"I won't Emma. I won't ever make the same mistake"
