The Day We Met (Captain Swan)

Chapter 34

{Emma's POV}

I woke up to the feeling of small kisses all over my face. I slowly opened my eyes and smiled at the sight in front of me.

Killian was standing there with a beautiful bouquet of lilac roses.

I had to admit I was a little confused as to why he would do this. It's been a long time since I last received a gift like this .

Killian must have noticed my confusion since he then asked. "You don't remember?"

I sat there thinking, and then it hit me. "Oh! I remember!"

He chuckled and proceeded to envelop me in a huge hug, which I happily returned.

"Happy Birthday, my love." He whispered in my ear, making a bright smile form in my lips.

"Thanks, Killian. I think with everything that has been going on I just forgot." I replied, not letting go of him.

How could I have forgotten of my birthday?

Killian then let go of me and I scooted over a little bit so he could sit down, I immediately rested my head on his shoulder and he proceeded to wrap his arms around me, both of us just enjoying the quiet moment.

I sighed. "I must look like a mess right now." I don't normally care what I look like, but I did just wake up.

"Nonsense, my love. You could never look like a mess. You are bloody beautiful, inside and out." He said, and softly kissed my cheek. There is nothing I loved more than moments when we were together, just talking and him being the romantic idiot he is. My romantic idiot.

I smiled and looked up at him, only to find him already looking at me. We just stayed there, admiring each other before he pressed his lips ever so lightly over mine, in a oh so beautiful kiss.

I placed one hand at the back of his neck as he pulled me closer to him. I had missed this so incredibly much, feeling butterflies going crazy inside my stomach, feeling like the luckiest woman ever and feeling trully love, all of this caused by the most handsome man ever to exist.

I pulled back, breathing heavily as we rested our foreheads together, both smiling, not a single word escapin our lips, it wasn't necessary, we both knew what we were feeling, the feeling was love.

We then layed down in each others embrace, my head peacefully on his chest, it was so silent you could hear a pin drop. "Killian?" I whispered ever so softly.

"Aye, love?" I looked up at him.

"I love you" I meant it. I truly did, those words didn't escape my mouth. They escaped my heart. And he must have noticed that, at least thats what his smile told me.

"And I love you, Emma" Both of us smiled.

"So, Swan. I have the day planned for us. This is going to be your best birthday ever" He promised and I cuddled up his chest as he hugged me so tightly. "I can't wait, Killian. I'm sure I will have an amazing time" He kissed the top of my head.

"The first thing is breakfast, my beautiful Swan. So, I suggest you get ready, everyone must be at the garden already. Now, I'm going to be there, waiting for you while you get ready." He explained.

"Perfect, even though I was really enjoying our time together" I pouted. "Oh, you're so cute. I was enjoying our time too, love"

"Guess you're going to have to make it up to me, don't you?" I giggled. "I guess so" He kissed me.

"Okay, now go so I can get ready"

He sighs "Fine, I'll see you soon, my love"

"Okay!" He left and I started getting ready as fast as I could. Once I was ready I went to the garden, being congratulated by some workers of the castle, making me smile.

Once I got there I was greeted with a huge surprise. Ruby and James were here. It's been so long since I last saw them, so I ran into their arms and hugged them tightly as they huged me back.

"Happy Birthday, Emma!" They both said. "Thank you! I missed you both so much, I'm so happy you are here, thank you for coming!"

"Well, we are happy to be here, but you should be thanking Killian" Ruby said, making me pull back.

"Thank Killian?" "Yes, he invited us here, he didn't tell you?" James explained.

I just stood there, a little surprised. "Well, I'm taking that as a no, nice surprise Killian" James said and everyone chuckled. I turned to Killian and he had a smil on his face.

I walked towards him, who was carrying a sleeping Caroline and hugged him tightly, careful not to crush our beautiful daughter. "Thank you so much, you really know how to make my day" I kissed his cheek.

"Anything for you, my love" I smiled.

We all sat down at the table just in time for the food to be brought over. Killian took my hand under the table and I squeezed his.

We all had a grand time, talking and laughing, I had missed this so much. Once Caroline was finished she sat down at a small bench and started playing with some flowers.

"Mommy!" She called, I stood up and walked towards her. "What is it, baby girl?" I smiled as I kneeled down next to her and she looked towards me. "To you" She said, handing me a little flower and wrapping her little arms around my neck. "Thank you, sweetie" I said as I carried her in my arms and walked back towards the table, sat down and continued eating as she started playing softly with my hair.

Everyone at the table was smiling at what just happened. I couldn't be happier. I rested my head on Killian's shoulder and he wrapped an arm around my waist.

I did get an A in all my tests so I automatically got an A+ in all my finals without actually doing them! Thats why haven't updated, I was studying. But well, I have been on vacation for a little more than a week and I have been planning on what to do with this book.

Next chapter will be the second part to this one, there may be a third, then I will post the last chapter and maybe, just maybe, and epilogue.

Oh God, that is so sad, it's been almost two years since I started writing it and wow, it's been amazing!
