The Day We Met (Captain Swan)

Chapter 14

{Writer's POV}

"Killian, is everything okay?" Emma asks, knowing something is wrong, and hoping Killian will tell her the truth.

Killian has never lied to Emma, he always makes sure he tells her nothing but the truth. Which Emma really appreciates because there is nothing she hates more than lies.

That's why she wants Killian to tell her.

She does not want lies in her life, much less in her perfect relationship.

"Of course, love. What could possibly be-" Killian starts but gets cut off by one of Emma I'm-not-buying-it glance, making Killian sight and give her hand a little squeeze.

"I've been thinking, about.. About what will... can happen between us if my king order us to go on another task" Killian says, not daring to look into her eyes. Thinking she would be heartbroken thinking of it too.

And he isn't wrong.

When he looks into her eyes, he sees what he wanted to see less. Hurt.

"Killian, I- I never thought of this before" Emma whispers.

"What will happen between us then?" Emma asks.
"Will we still be together?" Emma adds, afraid of the answer.
And her worry just grows with every passing second that Killian doesn't answer.

"I don't know, love... Is that what you want?" Killian asks, hoping with everything in him that her will answer be no.

"Of corse not, Killian. I don't want to be without you" Emma whispers and looks down, thinking that Killian wants the complete opposite, and she knows she isn't capable of taking it in.

"And what do you want?" Emma adds, knowing the answer...
Or so she thinks.

"I want the exact same thing you do.." Killian adds.
Placing a hand on her cheek, making her look up, and making their eyes meet.

Of course both of them don't want to be away from each other, but both of them know that if they spend more time together, and then one day Killian's king asks them to go to another kingdom, non of them will be capable of living with it.

Both of their feelings for each other have been developing and have grown more too.

And they will not be able to go separate ways when the time comes...

So there is only one thing they could do.

Even though that's what they wanted the least.

"But do you think it is the right thing? We- I won't be able to be live with it" Emma says in a quiet voice.

"I don't know" Killian responds, not knowing what to say.

"I don't know if it is right thing, but I think it's the best... At least let's try. And if things are worst.." Emma starts

"We go back together" Killian continues.

Emma nods sadly.

Emma then wraps her arms around Killian's neck, hugging him tightly, and Killian doesn't hesitate before wrapping his arms around her tightly.

This was their last hug and they both knew that.
And they wanted it to last as long as it could.

Tears were falling down from Emma's eyes. And tears were about to fall from Killian's, even though he didn't want to accept it.

They pulled apart from the hug and before they knew it their lips were pressed together in a beautiful kiss.

After a few moments they pulled away and rested their foreheads together. They knew what was about to come and they needed this moment to last forever.

But unfortunately it couldn't.

"Well.. I guess this is it" Emma whispers between tears.

Killian places his hands on her cheeks.
"Aye, love. But we can still be friends" he says, knowing that they wouldn't want to see each other if they weren't to be together.

"Yeah, I know" she says.

"Bye Killian"

"Bye Emma"

They hug each other quickly before he stands up and kisses her cheek, then leaves.

What have I done? Emma asks to herself.

Also, school is starting in two days for me, so that sadly means less updates, but I'll try to update as soon as I can.
