**ONE HOUR LATER**

I had my book bag, and was heading out the door to meet with my mom.

As I opened the door, about to step out, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see the girl smiling at me.

She handed me a piece of paper and said, "Call or text me anytime when you just need to talk."

"R-really?" I asked, getting a little excited.

Is she my friend? Oh my gosh, I actually have a friend for advice and for just talking to.

"T-thanks." I said smiling.

I then walked out the door, and saw my mom standing, waiting for me.

I ran up to her, and suddenly didn't have that much oxygen to breathe.

I get out of breath really, really easily.

"Mommy!" I said smiling, and hugging her.

"Hey sweetie! How was school? Why do you have bandages all on your face?" she asked, touching the bandages.

"I slipped on spaghetti, and glass went through my face." I said.

Usually, when I'm around mom, I am myself. I don't slur my words around her.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay sweetie?!" she asked concerned. "Yes, mom, I'm fine. Thanks." I said giggling.
