I sat on the couch in some old pj pants and a hoodie that I found. MY legs were brought up to me and my arms wrapped around my knees. I was completely bored out of my mind, watching these two morons play video games all night. Ricky still hadn't returned, and it was really late now, going on 2 am. If I ever got home, I would die. I would be killed. If I survived this, I wouldn't survive home. I had absolutely nothing to do here what so ever. I was bored, and this was hopeless. Trying to start conversation with these two was pointless, and impossible. I think I had looked through pretty much every inch of this house, which there was nothing interesting. I made a mental note to avoid the basement at all times. That place was falling apart and kinda scared me.

I eventually couldn't stand it any more. "I'm going to bed." Neither of them said anything but Alex watched me go. I went back to the room and plunked down on the small bed that was jammed in the corner of the room. I gazed at the pile of boxes going almost to the ceiling across from me. I wondered why this house was abandoned. I shrugged to myself and rolled over to face the wall. I hadn't realized before how tired I was and it was only a matter of seconds before sleep took over.

What the heck is that thing? my eyes narrowed as I stared out into the fog. Something was coming towards me but I couldn't tell what it was. As it got nearer I could see it was tall, and had two legs. I studied the way it walked. Was it a human? But it was walking to funny to be a human. As it got nearer I came to a conclusion it was a human, and then the fog cleared and I could see who it was. It was Ricky. I could tell by looking at him he wasn't with it. I took a few feeble steps back and hit a wall. There were walls surrounding me everywhere and I had no escape. I watched as he came closer to me and I felt afraid. I had never ever been afraid of him before, and never thought I would be. But now I was. Suddenly he was right there in front of me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I let out a scream of protest and my eyes shot open.

I stared at the dark wall in front of me and let out a sigh. I was relieved that it was only a dream. But I did feel a hand on my shoulder. I rolled over to see someone standing there in the dark, even so I could tell it was Ricky. My blood ran cold as I stared at him and he sat on the edge of the bed. I moved myself as close to the wall as I could, and stared at him with wide eyes. "I won't hurt you." he whispered but I shook my head. "I'm okay, everything out of my system. You don't need to fear me." he put his hand up caressing my face. "I'm sorry for what I did. You know I would never intentionally hurt you right? I'm stuck in this stupid mess that I never should have got involved with and now it's too late."

"You lied to me." I said, my voice cracking.

He looked at me confused for a minute but that changed. "I know. I told you I would never do this crap, I would never do that to you but I did." he reached up to wipe some tears from my eyes.

"you hurt me, and I don't mean what happened earlier." I sobbed. He stared at me for a long time. I rolled my eyes. "You used me. I thought we were friends but that changed and I was treated like dirt. You avoided me like the plague." I hissed. "I don't mean anything to you."

I could see he was hurt, thought I figured he was acting. "You make me sound like a monster." No kidding. "Lex, you know I like you. Couldn't you tell? All those years you couldn't figure that out? McKenzie even told you that."

"You never liked me! I already know that so stop pretending. Why else would be treating me the way you are?" I was getting mad now.

"Because I'm scared." he said looking away. I gave him a confused look. Scared of what? He looked at my expression then away again. "I wouldn't know what people would say. I was afraid of being an outcast, but I shouldn't care what they say. I'm sorry I've treated you this way. But you gotta know what you mean to me."
