Second to last chapter guys =0 I know it's so horrible this is coming to an end. =( I really love this story and I don't want to let it go, but what other choice do I have? These fours teens adventure is coming to an end. I know like all my stories are short =/ I'm hoping to make the ending as good as possible and you really must tell me what you thought of the story overall, I would apperciate it a ton. Anyways here is the next chappie, another shorty, sorry.
"Alexis...Alexis...Alexis." A far away voice called out. I looked around me. "Yes?" I responded. "Alexis...Watch out." The voice said. A chill ran through me. "For what?" I asked. "It's coming. Time's almost up." My eyes went wide. Time was almost up. Something was coming. Very soon. "That's right. You can't prevent it." I gulped. "But no worries. There is one thing that will make it all worthwhile..."
The voice trailed off and I jumped when a hand trailed gently over me. I opened my eyes in the bleak early morning light and looked up into the brown eyes of Ricky. Wonderful. I wish I was still asleep, so I could figure out what would make this all good, what was coming and when...
"I'm sorry I startled you." I nodded my head. We were silent for awhile. "Are you hungry?" He asked after probably a good twenty minutes or so, no exaggeration.
"Kinda." He held out his hand, and slowly I reached up to take it. He led me out and stopped in front of the couch, gently nudging me towards it. After I sat he left to the kitchen. I noticed he was completely normal right now, well not normal. He was never normal. Right now, he was...my Ricky.
A bit later I could smell something really good and then maple syrup. My stomach growled and I licked my lips. A moment later Ricky walked in carrying two plates, both with blueberry pancakes on them. I had remembered him saying a couple years ago he made amazing blueberry pancakes.
He handed me my plate, and I tried not to scarf them all down eagerly. I was able to control my urge, and ate normally. This boy did NOT brag. It was beyond amazing. They were heaven. "Oh wow. These are so good." I closed my eyes, savoring it.
"Glad you like it." He smiled softly at me. We finished eating breakfast and watched TV for awhile, not talking for at least 3 shows. Finally when the fourth show we were watching started, he spoke again. "You know I am really sorry. Ya know about all that's happened..."
I nodded my head. "Yea I know."
He shook his head sighing. "How can you just be okay with this? Why don't you hate me and never want to see me again?"
I didn't take long to respond, because I knew the answer. "I could never hate you. I would rather make amends and be friends again than hate you."
"Just friends though." He looked down.
I nodded my head. "No I don't think we ever could be."
He looked back at me. "I get it. Alex will take care of you, I know."
I tried not to look surprised and I laughed. "I'll always be your friend."
"Best friend?"
"Best friend." I smiled and leaned over to hug him.
I can't believe that school is almost over. It was the end of April, almost May. School ended early June. I also couldn't believe how long I had been hiding out with the guys and keeping this big secret. At least my best friend was in on it now. I hated keeping things from her.
Things were okay with the guys, not awkward like I expected it to be. Everyone was used to me being with Alex by now, it wasn't weird anymore. Ricky was okay with it as well, they didn't fight anymore. Plus he had been doing well lately on not taking anything, I think it's been a few weeks now. He was getting better. We all hung out, out of the presence of the public, like good friends together, and we were.
I was beginning to forget all about the dream. I thought to myself, it's a dream, and dreams don't come real. That's all they are, are dreams. Nothing was going to happen. Everything was getting better. I hadn't even seen any suspicious police following us around anymore either. So I wasn't worried. Right now all I cared about was that everything was getting better, and we were going to be okay.
