Lexi let out a little sigh and looked up at the sky. she thought she
might never see the light of day again. it was great to feel the fresh
air and breath normally. " you know he really isn't that bad the real
him." Lexi looked over. "I know." she looked back out across the
playground. "we always had good times together. he's a good kid." she
smiled softly. "at heart at least," at that they both started to laugh.
"do you still like him?" Alex asked after a couple of minutes. Lexi
nodded her head,"yea. but notike that, I can't. he hurt me but that
doesn't mean I don't want my friend back." she sighed and turned away.
a moment later she felt a hand on her shoulder. "your friend didn't go
anywhere. he's still with you, you just have to find him again." Lexi
looked back over at Alex and smiled. "there's got to be some way." I
said softly. "there is. I just haven't found it yet." I smiled again. I
felt so relaxed right now looking at Alex, as if there wasn't a care in
the world. "you know you really do know how to make someone feel
better" i said suddenly. Alex gave me a weird look, "I'm not even doing
anything." he said then laughed. "well your being sweet and comforting
and I like it." I said without thinking. I could see a shade of red
forming on his cheeks and I laughed. "cute." I said before laughing
some more and he only got redder. I couldn't stop laughing then until I
noticed a look of annoyance grow on his face. I immediatley stopped
laughing. "Alex I'm sorry. I don't mean to laugh at you. it's not a bad
thing being cute." I said and couldn't hide the little giggle that
slipped out. he glared at me but them be smiled. "I couldn't be mad at
you anyways." he laughed some too then. "you wanna come back here again
tomorrow?" alex asked. "as long as I don't have sit in that ancient
house for another whole day." we both laughed. "well for tomorrow at
least but I can't always do it." he was still smiling and I had to
admit he was cute, really cute. "I can't always come here for the rest
of my life you know." I said. he laughed, "of course not. only until
you figure out a way to bring back the real Ricky." we fell silent
then. after a few minutes a vibrating noise broke the stillness. Alex
reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. he looked at it then
back to me. "we've got to go." he said standing up. I blinked and
stared at him confused. "why? what's wrong?" I asked hurriedly
