Still Grace's P.O.V.
I looked up and shook my head at him, "How can you even ask that?"
He sighed, "Because I hate it, it makes me conscious."
I took a step back to admire the whole of his revealed body, pacing around him in a circle whilst he watched me cautiously.
I stopped when I was in front of him again, "This, Mike, this...is nothing to be conscious about. You may hate it, but it doesn't mean everyone else in existence hates it."
He face was still on the sad side, I shuffled closer, tracing around each lighter patch with my delicate finger tip.
I carried on, "It's so fascinatingly beautiful, like a work of art, everywhere you look, there's something different that has it's own story to tell, your body is a map, every destination in which my eyes travel, is better and more beautiful than the last. Don't be conscious, don't hate it, you're unique and precious. Love it, just like I do." I comforted.
I looked up, expecting to see his face happier, maybe even a smile, but he was full of self hatred, his eyes cold.
"I'm a monster." He spat.
Instead of fighting, instead of trying to change his mind, I kept calm.
I chuckled quietly, "Then take off the mask" I whispered.
His eyes immediately softened, his body loosened, he seemed to relax.
Going on tip toes I reached up, bringing his head closer to mine, laying a palm on his neck, whispering into his ear, "But if you're so convinced that you're a monster, then I'll have you know that you're MY monster, and I wouldn't change anything about him for the world."
Giving him a peck on the cheek, I let him go and began to walk into the bedroom.
"Grace...?" I heard him whisper.
I turned around.He was smiling a little, "I'm not really a monster...am I."
"No. Of course you're not" I grinned.
