Michael's P.O.V.

We made our way slowly and very quietly out of the bedroom and down the hallway to the door, I kept shushing her when she tried to question me, I cringed every time a floorboard creaked in case we got caught, I wasn't allowed to do this.

Eventually we got to the door and I grabbed the key, before unlocking it, I turned to her and whispered extremely quietly, "Listen to me, you have to keep silent! One false move, one tiny little noise and I'm dead, you hear me, we have to stay silent, even if it means moving extremely slowly down that corridor, we can NOT get caught!"
I watched as her eyes widened, she knew I was serious, she nodded her head. I turned to the door and carefully put the key in, pausing after in case I heard any movement from Bill and John's room, I continued to slowly turn the key, the click of the unlock was way louder than I wanted it to be, I squeezed my eyes closed in case John or Bill heard anything, but surely...hopefully, they'll both be sleeping.

I took a deep breath before pulling out the key and turning the handle, the door clicked open and I poked my head through the tiny gap. The corridor was well lit, I could see right down to the bottom, the coast was clear.

I turned back to Grace, holding out my hand for her to take, holding a finger to my lips, reminding her to be silent.
We ventured out through the door, pausing excruciatingly close to John and Bills room, in fact, right outside their door, to lock our own.
