Chapter 11: It's Not A Date!!

~Zuki's POV~

I finally made it back to the Guild and found Lucy talking with MiraJane at the bar.

"Hey L-Lucy! C-Can I ask y-you something?" I asked, poking her lightly on the shoulder.

She turned around and smiled, "Sure! What's up?"

"I-I was wondering i-if I could s-stay at your h-house?"

She gave a small laugh, "Of course! I'm pretty sure (Y/n) is there already, you can work placements out with her," and she then went back to chatting with Mira.

"A-Arigato..!" I thanked quietly and left the Guild once again and dashed off to see if I could catch up to (Y/n).

I eventually found her still strolling along the street calmly, "Hey (Y-Y/n)-San! Lucy s-said I could stay w-with you guys and that y-you'd help work out a-arrangements,"

"Sounds good! We're almost there," she said with a small smile.

We finally made it to the Apartment, and (Y/n) used her key to open the door. We walked in and she walked into the kitchen.

"You want anything to eat Zuki? It's my night to make dinner!" (Y/n) called from the kitchen.

"N-No thanks! I h-have food in m-my backpack!" I replied.

She gave my an "okay" and made herself a sandwich, then left into her room.

~Your POV~

I started moving my things out of my room and into the living room under the couch. Sense Zuki is staying here now might as well let her have the spare room.

"What are you doing?" She asked while I moved my box of journals under the sofa.

"Moving my things into the living room here under the couch," I plainly stated out the obvious.

"Why?"

"Because I'm gonna be sleeping on the couch! Duh! Why else?" I then left to go head another box/bag of stuff.

"B-But aren't I-I sleeping on the c-couch?!" She implied, obviously trying to say that she would sleep on the couch.

"No, no, you're the newest one staying in this Apartment, so it would be rude to have you sleep on the couch," I smiled.

"O-Okay then..!" She shyly smiled back.

I finished moving my stuff and helped Zuki get settled into the room. After we were done, I heard a knock at the door.

So walked to the front door and opened it up to see Natsu standing there, goofy grin and all.

"Hey, Natsu! What's up?"

"I was wondering if you maybe wanted to--" he trailed off for a minute, looking flushed and nervous. "Go on this job with me?"

He held up a job request, and I read it over. It was a mission to stop a raid at this super fancy party. Two people we supposed to act like they were a couple at the party and then stop the thieves.

But then I re-read the part about what we had to go as. I instantly got really red in the face. 'This type of mission isn't really one Natsu would like..! Why would he ask me to go on this mission with him?' Then realization struck, 'Does Natsu... Like me?'

My eyes widened at the thought. Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail, might actually like a shy, awkward girl like me, (Y/n) (L/n)..!
