OoOoOooOoFfFfFfFf— I'm trying so hard to get this crap-book done! I thank everyone who's stuck with me from the beginning, what.... two years ago? Thank you all, and here's the next chapter for y'all!
~Narrator POV~
As you stood with your arm out, you watched intently as Natsu attacked the chimera. You had to wait for the exact, precise moment. Though you were sure that Natsu would be able to escape unscathed even if you fired at the current moment, you didn't want to risk his life just to kill this beast.
You used your free hand to grip the smooth (f/c) stone that resided within your pocket. You ran your thumb across the top, feeling the power from within it coursing through your veins.
A sudden golden aura engulfed your body, lighting up like a roaring flame in a Summer's heat. Your eyes flashed from their regular (e/c) color, to a more of a crimson gold. And within a moments end, you raised the Goddess's Stone into the air, and the light shone brighter than before.
"Is mise an teine!!" You shouted, your voice booming through the evening sky, which you could have sworn shook the Earth.
You blasted a large beam of (f/c) and gold towards the chimera, directed and inflicted right smack-dab into it's heart. Natsu had skid away from the chimera at the exact moment that the blast hit, causing him to drop down to the ground, making an indent in the dirt with his feet.
The chimera let out a shrieking, ear-splitting, cry of agony and devastation. Blood splattered from it's wound and into the cracked ground, lashing it's claws about the air wildly, as it fell from it's feet, meeting it's end while hitting the cold, dusted floor. You let out a huff of breath as you felt your power drain from your body.
You struggled to remain on your feet as your knees trembled and vision blurred in and out of focus. Erza ran over to you, placing a firm hand onto your shoulder, which you leaned into slightly to release some of the weight you were pressing into your legs. She didn't say a word, but by the look in her eyes, you could tell she was proud of you.
"He's going to start a war, Erza... I'm so sorry that I couldn't have stopped it from happening." You apologized, staring your sister-like figure directly in the eyes. This was your fight, your fault in the air; and you were going to end it.
Natsu rushed over, a few bruises from the chimera's fists. He puffed his uneven breath, dragging in newly, and much-needed, oxygen. "What just happened? What did you do?"
"That was a spell from the Stone, Natsu. I only have two left, and I have to use them wisely." You replied, giving a gentle smile to the salmon-ette. You gazed directly into his onyx eyes, and finally discovered the feeling you had felt all these years, and the reason behind it. You always tried to press it off to the side because you didn't want to have to decipher it, but now there was no room for denial. "Natsu, if I run out of spells, promise me something."
Natsu could tell by your tone and sympathetic eyes that if he disagreed, everything would go wrong. He nodded. You spoke again, gripping the fabric of his vest. "Whatever you do, do not use all of your spells. Understood?" You demanded, gazing up into his eyes with an almost pleading study of emotion.
"But... if you don't want me to use them all... what'll happen to you if you use all of yours?" He questioned, his usual steady and organized orbs gaining a posture of uncertainty and chaos.
You fought back the sudden tears the filled your sclera. You gripped his vest tighter and pulled him closer to you, so he knew that there was no room for him to question your authority.
"Promise me, Natsu Dragneel, or so help me I will come back from beyond and kick you into tomorrow!! You have to promise me, Natsu! This is my fault, my battle, and I don't want to lose anyone all because of my mistakes!" You pressed, clenching a fist as if you were about to punch him right then and there.
His eyes widened with a somewhat fearful expression. He regained himself and placed his hands over the one that was clinging to his vest. He store down into your (e/c) eyes with a saddened expression, internally having a guess as to what would happen if all three spells were used. And, he was correct.
Before you could question his actions, he wrapped his arms around you tightly and pulled you in closer to him, locking his lips with yours. You froze in shock, and let the dam break as you allowed the flow of warm tears stream down your cheeks and drip down your chin. You moved your arms to cling to the back of his vest as you kissed him back, as if your life were about to end right here, right now.
Natsu pulled back, looking back down at you with a newly found fire and determination to ignite is flame. "And I won't lose you either, (Y/n)." Was all he said, as he placed his forehead against yours.
You looked down in both sadness, and embarrassment. Though, you wouldn't let your weakness show; not now. You and Natsu pulled away from each other's braces and looked out to Daylin. You were ready and prepared for war, while Natsu and Erza were ready to back you up.
"You'd better back off now, Daylin, because in a few seconds..." you trailed off, a golden magic circle irrupting underneath your feet. "...you'll be dead!!"
Natsu ignited a flame onto his fists and feet, while Erza equipped into her Flame Empress armor and gripped her sword, that shone a blood red shade. You wouldn't hesitate, not anymore. Daylin needed to die.
Whether you went down with him, or not.
