Hm. Ah. How glorious I am for saying I planned on finishing this story on the same day that I published chapter 27, and then waiting an entire multiple months that lead to next year to even update. I'm so, so sorry. I can't sleep, and remembered that I haven't updated, so I figured I'd try and get the second-to-last chapter done and out of the way. So... here it is. I'm tryyyiinnngggg... I seriously lost all motivation to finish this thing, even after I'm so close- I'll get it done, I promise.

~Narrator POV~

With a dead glare, you locked eyes with Daylin, who stood a mere hundred feet or so in front of you, atop the now dead chimera that you had single-handedly brought down, with the sacrifice of one of the Goddess' Stone spells. There seemed to be a moment of silence, as what could be heard was the small draft in the wind, and the gentle beating of your own heart.

You quickly glanced over to your two teammates, and analyzed their different choices in expression. On the outside, it was the same, but the thoughts hiding within their eyes were completely different stories.

Erza's deep brown orbs were filled with focus and unity. She was very calm, despite the ever-growing hatred for Daylin painted across her face. You could tell she was ready for whatever the poor excuse for a man had to offer them, and she'd keep her ground, no matter the cost. The sharp, razor-bladed sword pointing from her hands only provided evidence as to her battle-ready stature.

Natsu, although similar, his hateful gaze was produced from another reason than Erza's. The salmon-haired male wanted his share at Daylin for what he had done to you all those years ago, and for devastating the heart of Fairy Tail. There wasn't a way in hell that he'd let the purple-clad man get away with any of his heinous crimes. The light from his flame-lit fists shone against his face and sections of his hair; his eyes picked up some of the light, which made it seem as if his soul was literally ablaze with determination.

Holding out a clenched fist, you furrowed your brows as some of your (h/l) (h/c) hair fell over your face, as you had bent your head down a small amount. The fist you held out from your body was the one that contained the Goddess' Stone, which with it's power made you feel more stable. Your lips churned downwards as you spoke, "Death will be far less painful than what you would have to live through if you somehow managed to make it out alive..." you threatened, not planning on leaving those words empty.

Daylin only seemed to be more intrigued at the power of the three Mages before him. His amused smirk danced across his lips as his arms remained folded across his chest, making him all-the-more smug. "You know... you were always a Wizard of your word... so why don't you try and kill me— Let's just see, shall we?" He teased, raised a brow and using his right hand to beckon you, Natsu, and Erza towards him.

With that, the three of you dashed forwards, fully prepared for Daylin's counter, which so happened to send you back a few feet, your heels digging into the ground as he stood upright, his eyes lit with a newfound insanity, churning grin never leaving his face; the magic radiating off of him made your insides curl. "Oh, how I just love the looks on your faces right now! It's hilarious!" He cackled, his voice rather strained and used up, as his arms and legs pulsed with rising strength, as if his powers weren't fit for his physical limitations. "So if you really think with your putrid magic..." his form twisted and convulsed, now becoming a humanoid beast, with saliva-dripping fangs, piercing red pupils, and dark magic oozing out of him.

"Come at me, Fairies!!" He roared.

"Gladly!" Natsu sneered, whilst igniting his fists and feet and launching himself into the air with one foot, then using the other to ricochet downward and slam the heel of his foot into the back of Daylin's neck; his dark beast magic made him way too slow to keep up with Natsu's reflexes. The salmon-haired mage then leapt away cautiously, as Daylin's hand swept behind him in attempt to rid the teen of his presence.

Natsu clashed to the graveled floor, causing a small indent, before standing and looking out towards our group. "Erza, you gotta distract him for me if I'm gonna be able to get a good hit in!" He called out, wiping the corner of his mouth with his wrist. "(Y/n), give me a boost, will ya?!" He inquired, hopping out of the way once again, as Daylin's foot slammed down into the ground where Natsu previously stood.

You nodded, sharing eye contact with him. "I'll follow your lead!" You confirmed.

Before anyone could even blink, Erza took action and jumped into the air, her magic surrounding her body and giving her yet another set of swords. With her growing scowl, she aimed her assault of four swords down onto Daylin's upper body, but only to be deflected by a pulse of magic. This gave Erza the advantage to where speed matched out power; she then continuously summoned whatever sword to whatever armor she had in her arsenal, and relayed and endless attack to keep Daylin's attention on her. "Natsu, (Y/n)! Whatever you're planning, you'd better hurry it up, now!" She shouted out.

You knew that at this point, Erza was going to run low on magic power, and Natsu wasn't going to be able to make a dent in Daylin without some assistance, so you had a plan, and it was a risky one, considering that the after effects weren't exactly clear, but it really was your best option at the point. "Natsu, come on! Do you have the Dragon's Stone?" You asked warily.

He only nodded his head as he made his way over to you, taking out the glowing red jewel from his pants pocket. "Yeah, I've got it. What's your plan?" He quizzed daftly.

"We gotta perform a Unison Raid." You instructed plainly. "That's the only way that we're gonna take him down and be sure about it. Got it? We've got one shot." You reminded, taking a hold of his hand, firm in your grip.

He raised a brow, his palms tightening against yours, "One? But doesn't your stone have two wishes left? A Unison Raid wouldn't use up—" he suddenly stopped himself, as his eyes widened. "Wait, you aren't gonna..!"

Erza interrupted him, her voice now gruff and forced. "I can't hold this forever, you two! He's gonna break out of the cycle!" She warmed harshly.

"Natsu, we don't have a choice here! Please!" You activated your magic, your whole body glowing a faint golden shade.

"No!" He refused, "We don't know what'll happen if you use both of those up! You could.. you could die!" You could see the tears prick at his eyes as he violently shook his head. "I can't risk it! I won't risk you! Please, only use one wish, (Y/n).. I'll use two of mine, if you really think one won't be enough power." He pleaded, now taking both of your hands in his. He didn't want to go through that same pain from when he lost you the first time.

"Alright, fine... you use two, I'll use one. But I swear to God, Natsu Dragneel, if you pull some reckless shit.." you embraced him in a hug, causing his own stone to react and radiate it's own magic onto Natsu, a new red-toned light blending with your gold one to make a roaring flame.

He chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist, a small smile on his lips. "What'll you do?" He asked.

You paused for a moment, returning the light laugh. "I'll kill you."

Then, the two of you ignited your magic energies into one, and for some reason, took the physical form of a large, magic-made dragon, towering above all four of you, the light masking it's body shining bright and casting shadows on anything below it.

The both of you released each other, hands still interlaced and raised towards the sunsetting sky.

"For Fairy Tail!!"

Aye, I did it. Took me basically a year, but I did it. And now I'm one chapter away from being completely done, so... look forward to the finale, because it'll be here a lot sooner. I actually promise this time. I'm actually so close to being done, I have no excuse to not finish it. Please bear with me, and I'll see you soon, my very.. very patient readers.
