I ripped the covers off the bed, "You haven't been out of bed in a week, James. Get up," I ordered him with my hands on my hips.

He groaned, "I don't have a reason to," he told me trying to grab the blanket back.

"Actually you do, your dad is coming round in an hour," I said smirking. I had used James' phone to call Damian and tell him about James being lazy and depressed. He was coming to interrogate James about what actually happened the day he didn't come back home.

James sat up, "Why?" He asked quickly.

I rolled my eyes, "take a wild guess." I opened the curtains and the window. I heard James groan again but I chose to ignore him.

"Get a shower, you stink," I told him. I wrinkled my nose in disgust to add effect.

James scowled and got out of the bed, "okay mum," he said sarcastically.

I smiled mockingly, "good boy, son," I praised him patting his back. He slammed the bathroom door and I giggled and walked into the living room to finish dusting the ornaments.

Damian knocked on the door a few minutes later and I opened it offering him a pitiful smile. The whole family were still grieving over Bennett's death.

He smiled half heartedly and came into the house, "where's James?" He asked flopping down onto the couch.

"He's just finishing getting dressed. Do you want a drink?" I asked politely.

He nodded, "coffee please," he said turning on the TV.

I walked to the bedroom and James was drying his hair, "your dads here. Do you want a coffee?" I asked the same question.

He nodded, "yeah, I'm coming out now," he told me throwing the towel onto the bed and going to meet his dad.

I trudged off to the kitchen to make the beverages and hurried back to the living room. I handed the drinks out and both men thanked me.

I rubbed my hand together, "story time!" I shouted excitedly.

James raised his eyebrows, "what?"

Damian sipped his coffee and turned to James, "right, start at the beginning and tell us the whole story," he instructed him.

James nodded slowly, "what story will that be?" He asked genuinely confused.

Damian rolled his eyes, "oh you know, the story of how you went missing and we had to come and safe your life," he told him as if he was nine.

James laughed nervously, "oh okay. I don't know where to start."

"Maybe where your dad said, at the beginning," I said quietly. Damian laughed quietly and James shot daggers at me with his eyes. I stifled a laugh and gave him an apologetic look.

He took a deep breath, "well, when I lost my job, which was for a good reason," he added.

"I agree," I commented again.

Damian sighed, "just get on with it."

James nodded, "well Justin gave me his number and told me to ring him when I got home. So, while Lily was in the shower I rang him and he offered me a job as a sort of... Mailman," he told us.

"But with drugs," I butted in again.

James nodded again, "yeah, with drugs. Anyway, one day he wanted me to do a delivery to a guy who was in prison and if I got caught then I would also be put in prison, so I refused to do it. Justin and his friend Karl got pissed and injected me with heroin. I couldn't remember what happened that night but when I woke up in the morning I freaked out. They said I wouldn't be going home until I did the job but obviously I didn't want to. They had gone somewhere for a few hours so I tried escaping but Justin caught me. We had a fight but Karl stabbed me in my leg, it didn't really hurt that bad but it took me by surprise which is how they got me back. They tied me up and injected me with even more heroin until I blacked out. It was actually quite a scary experience. When I woke up it was dark out and James and Karl were in the kitchen counting money. Then I heard you come in and I pretended to still be unconscious, I'm not completely sure why. I ended up falling asleep when you saved me and you were there for the rest of the story," he finished.
