'I don't believe in magic'
The young boy said
The old man smiled.
You will, when you see her.

"Is he suggesting that I'm just like him? Does that make us related? Oh god please no!" I was murmuring to myself. The cold floor of the tub keeping me cool. It's been a couple of hours since I came home to find this specimen in my parents living room and he was ranting bullshit about taking me home to my people. Telling me it's law.
"You're ranting nonsense and I should not be listening" I expressed, scurrying away from him and covering my ears like a child. " I will not listen! No! This is where I belong!" I shouted at him
"Akira we've already established that this—" He motioned to the house. "This is not your home. According to my people and what I've been told this is an ancient mistake made by our leaders." He spoke.
I shook my head harshly and closed my eyes. Looking at him forces me to hear his words. "Let's not make this arduous. Pack your bags, you're coming with me."
I shrieked again. His voice was in my head. But I didn't dare to look at him, I was nothing like him. Nothing.
After minutes of me and my child-like behavior. I finally gave in. More so because I felt his glare on me and I felt that if I kept disobeying he'd kill me instead."I-I can't" I whispered.
"Why? What's the problem?" He asked with irritation evident in his tone. "You'll still be somewhere secluded where no one can find you. Just like it is for you here. There's no need to panic Akira"
"I-....D-..." The words didn't want to emerge. They were stuck on the tip of my tongue and held by a lump in my throat.
"Look lady you being here is fucking dangerous. Me being here is ducking dangerous. We can literally be killed at any second. So express what's on your mind or let's go. Now"
"M-my duty is to this house. This was my p-parents house. They left it to me. It is my duty to protect it. Even in death." I spoke. Àngel chuckled a little. As if what I was saying was ynonsense.
"Well im sufficiently certain your guardians are at the safe house waiting for you. They were keenly intellective for secluding their habitation as well as their daughter." His nonchalant tone was evident. He spoke as if he knew everything.
"T-they won't be there" I told him
"You don't know that!" He shouted getting fed up. "Look, I'm here on a job and I aim to consummate it but you're making it arduous" he hissed with gelidness and venom in his voice
"Th-their deceased" I suddenly blurted, his face showed contriteness but that expeditiously faded back into algidness."I can't leave. I won't."
He pinched the bridge of his nasal and mumbled incoherent words. "Hold on." He began walking away and digging in his pocket. Then he said, "Don't move" He pulled out a rectangular device and it began transmitting a phone shape screen. He started to whisper.
"We have a problem." He began saying to his device. The person on the other end must've be someone shrewd, someone canny to a Deity. He followed their every command with a sharp response that showed he respected the person on the other end. "We have time. You can say your goodbyes and then we'll leave. Where are your spare pillows?"
