I feel like apart of me had loved you since the beginning of everything. Maybe we're from the same star.

Pretty is something I've never really considered myself. Obviously. I don't see myself as a show stopper or the prettiest girl in h room. As a young child I believe my mother tried to instill confidence in me. She'd compliment everything, she saw beauty in the damnest of things. If only she was able to stay alive a little while longer, her teachings could have stuck.
I admire the people who are vain. I sometimes wish I could be like them and flaunt and feel unapologetic. But it never seems to stick with me...that short lived confidence. It quickly fades once I pull back the facade and allow myself to feel what I really am. Nothing. Invisible nothingness.I sat in the chair as she gave my hair a few more teases. Telling me all the things she thought I'd love to hear. She wanted to show me off...to Ángel.
"I don't think I'm aloud to leave this floor without his permission." I told her as she edged me out the door and down the hall. "We should go back before he--""Oh girl please he isn't gonna do anything." Raven confidently assured me. "I can promise you that."
We were on our way in the gym located in the basement. Ángel had just opened what looked like another bottle of something called Zonia. I was told to not be too close, I guess for the element of surprise. I was in enough distance to see him clearly and her him, but not close to him being able to see me. Can he feel my presence?
When he only saw Ray he looked confused.
"Where is she?" he asked"Don't worry yourself. She's here, she just has to be presented." She didn't look as excited at first when talking to him. But when it came time her energy was vibrant. "Now I present to you a very beautiful, even though she naturally already is more than beautiful... Kira!"
I moved from behind Raven, my eyes focused on my suddenly intriguing feet. He took in my appearance. From my hair neatly parted down the middle and straightened. I preferred it curly but who would have knew my hair was this long without extensions. To my painted toes.He wouldn't take his eyes off of me. It was like he was drinking in my entire soul. I was beginning to feel squirmy under his gaze.
"Say something" Raven says to him abruptly. He's quiet for moments, for what feels like forever before he says. "It's an improvement."
Hurt flashed across Raven's posture, his words made her flinch back harshly and he posture fell limp a bit. Raven looked disgusted with him."Leave the room sweetheart." She said, and I did.
P.O.V. CHANGE
She said something to Akira which made her leave the room before stomping over to me in her heels.
"...You're a coward. How do you even believe, get it in your head that it is okay to basically dehumanize someone. Especially her. She's never done anything wrong." She spat with sharp eyes.
"She hasn't huh" Sarcasm dripped. " What's the big idea? I said she looks fine. What's the deal--?"
"No!" Raven interrupted. "You have insulted her, man handled her, and made her feel less of a worthy person, like an ant on the bottom of your shoe. She couldn't even look at herself in the mirror. Her self esteem is crushed and you just keep making it worse!"
"How! I'm not doing anything to her. I feed her give her a place to stay and protect her but I'm the bad guy!"
