In a sea full of people
My eyes will always search
for you...
-Unknown-There's some doubt in me. She's been on her own for most of her life, she's probably been through a lot of times where she needed to protect herself. My concern lies within her using her fist or her powers, the two are very much different. Using your powers to handle a threatening situation is easier than using your fist.
"Today is gonna be a busy day Kira" I began. "We have to catch up on taming your powers and teaching you to fight, with your fist.""What if I already know how? To—to fight that is. With—with my fist." Akira stuttered. I took a long pause to stare at her. Completely stopping my movements.
"Don't make me laugh" I chuckled. If she knew what to do with her powers and her fist she'd have killed me already. But, here I am, alive and well.
"Well I have been prac-- I've been practicing you know and I believe that I can,— maybe I can, well I think I can knock you down now."
More doubts. Her stutter made her unbelievable. "I highly doubt that you can beat me and if you did it's because I let you. Out of pity."
"Fine."
She lowered her head and got up from the stool. We held our conversation at the kitchen table. The scenery most memorable to me. Just like my bedroom.
I quickly caught her wrist and spun her around to me. My arms snaked around her waist. She flashed several emotions in under a minute, shocked, mad and sad. I took her chin in between my fingers and forced her to look at me.
"Okay. how about we go down to the gym and fight?" A smirk painted itself on my face. I gripped her waist more.
"Ok." She whispered. With the tip of her chin in my fingers, I pressed her lips to mine. Longingly.
"Come"
In the elevator I sat on the bench while she stood up. The whole way down I kept glancing at her face. Its details, its structure, it was beautiful. Like art. I want her to be mines, fuck the Seer. Fuck what Akira wanted too, if she didn't want me shed have to deal with that on her own time.
My eyes trailed down her body and then I looked at myself and realized one important thing. I'm guessing she realized to.
"Um... Can we fight in pajamas?"
"Maybe. I certainly can." I scratched the back of my neck. "What do you want to wear?" She looked confused.
"I don't know? I don't what people fight in." She laughed and I laughed too
I walked over to my closet in the gym taking out my basketball shorts and a black tank top. I waited for her while she changed in the bathroom. Whistling, tapping, I waited for her to hurry. Then I heard a thump come from the bathroom and raced in.
"Akira!" I screamed
"Ow. You're gonna laugh." She said sitting on the bathroom floor.
"I won't"
"You will. Don't fib" Her small finger pointed itself at me. She's humorous huh?
Leaning against the door I looked at her, " I'm listening." I said
"I uh... I fell, while trying to, put shorts on."
She tried muttering the last part but of course I heard it. A laugh almost came up but I coughed to hide it.
I helped her stand to her feet. My shorts were falling off her waist line in the front. I smiled at her and crotched down to tie it. I heard her breath hitch as I fixed the shorts.
