A/N Hey guys. Unfortunately for both you and me, I was not having a good day. I hope my pain reflects on your hearts as you read. Please Enjoy. P.S, I'm sorry.

Edd and Kevin rolled out of bed and decided to start making chilli. Edd grabbed the crock pot and Kevin grabbes the ingredients shoved into the small Fridge. "Do you even now how to cook, Kevin?"
Kevin rolled his eyes and scoffed "Of course. A few things. Any man can cook with a crock pot. You just throw the stuff in their and wait. Who do you take me for? My ma raised a man that can survive on his own!"
Edd giggled and they headed down to the kitchen. When they got there, they started cooking the meat and adding everything to the crockpot. Kevin leaned on the counter. "So, we should go on a real date."
"Should we, now? I suppose I will consider it."
Kevin laughed and pushed himself off from the counter and wrapped an arm around Edd's waist. He held the back of Edd's neck and they shared a sweet kiss. "How about now? Have I convinced you?"
"Kevin, are you selling yourself with kisses for a date? Do you really work at a hospital, or are you a prostitue?" Kevin chuckled and released Edd.
"I do work in the hospital, but I'll give you services for free." Kevin winked at a blushing Edd and grabbed his Hands. "What are you doing for Winter break? We can hang out plenty then. It starts after this upcoming week. Or maybe we can go on a date Tuesday and see how things go?"
"Tuesday sounds perfect, Kevin. But I will be on a little trip the first week of winter break. Maybe the week after if I feel up to it."
"Choice."
After a movie and when the chilli was done, Edd got up and walked towards the door.
"Leaving so soon? You can stay the night. I won't try anything. Lay with me, Edd."
"Don't take my hat off."
"I won't. But you have to promise me that one day, you'll tell me."
Suddenly there was knocking on the door. Kevin hopped up and answered it.
"Where is he, Fuck boy?!" Eddy peaked behind Kevin's shoulder and saw Edd laying on the Trindle. "Edd, I want you to stay in our room tonight. I need you with me."
"But, Eddy I-"
"I need you, Edd! And you're going to choose this shit head right now? Who's always been there for you? Who took you in when your parents decided they didn't want to be anymore? ME. I have no problem with what's going on, but I'm asking you to return the favor just once!" Eddt screamed out the words in a high pitched tone and choked on the last.
"Eddy. I'll come. I'm sorry, Kevin. Maybe we can meet up tomorrow?"
Once they got in the hall Eddy choked out a sob. Edd embraced him, whispering that everything will be ok. "You weren't with a lady friend's, were you Eddy?" He whispered. Eddy burried his fave into the crook of Edds neck and shook his head. "You don't have to tell me. Just let mr pretend a little longer."

*Seven hours earlier, Eddy's P.O.V*

Eddy sat in the chair as he waited for the doctor. He looked on the walls, decorated with certificates and Pictures of said Doctor shaking hands with important looking people.
The Doctor walked in and sat across from Eddy at his Desk. "Hello, Eddy. I'm sorry we have to meet like this again. Since the parents granted you the permissions to be Edd's care taker, we must talk about his condition. He isn't responding to systemic chemotherapy, anymore. We took some more tests yesterday, and His Accute Lymphoblastic Leukima isn't getting any better. We are going to proceed with the Tyrosine Kinase inhibitor theory over winter break, and see if he will respond to it. If not, we will have to talk again After and plan out the next action. I need you to sign a few papaers, to-"
Eddy blocked him out and grabbed the papers. Same old song and Dance. He wasn't going to tell Edd, but Eddy knew that Edd saw right through him. And he couldn't hold up his protective facade any longer. The worst part, is that his parents knew. They just kept on finding excuses to not come down. Eddy believed that Edd's parents thought that since they haven't been around for most of Edd's life, they can pretend it never happened once Edd is gone.
Eddy ran his hands through his hair. He didn't want to be strong anymore. He felt that he was too young for this much responsibilty of another life.
Eddy Went back to the dorms and put on a movie. He tried to watch, but his mind was going in dark places. They would have to tell Lumpy soon. They couldn't keep him in oblivion anymore. He looked up at the clock and noticed it was late. He needed Edd now, more than ever.

When they got to the bedroom, Eddy flopped down on his bed and Looked at Edd. "I'm sorry for over reacting. I just need to sleep with you in here. Your breath when you're asleep calmes my nerves."
"I understand, Eddy. Thank you for letting me having the time with Kevin."
"No problem SockHead."
They turned off the lights and Eddy turned around and faced the wall. He choked back his sobs as tears rolled down his face. "Just calm down, he'll be fine. The treatment will work, and everything will be back to normal and we'll all grow up to be grumpy old men." He thought. Edd ignored his sobconscious screaming at him to stop lying to himself.
