Kellin's POV:

I woke up to Vic hovering over me and his hand on my thigh. I don't know why, but his touch just gave me a sense of comfort. If someone else was touching me like this, I probably would be freaking out because I'm not so good with human contact but with Vic it was... Different.

How did I even get here? The last thing I remembered is that I was getting the living shit beaten out of me and now I was waking up safe in my bed. This was really confusing but the one thing I was sure of was that I had a horrible headache. I put my arm over my face to block the bright light from getting into my eyes.

"Hey Kellin." Vic said in a sympathetic voice as he took his hand off my leg.

"Vic? What happened? What am I doing here? How did I get here?" I asked as I began to panic.

"Kellin, its okay," Vic started as he put his hand back on my thigh and started to slowly rub it, probably subconsciously. "You were taking a long time in the bathroom so I went to check on you and I found you passed out on the floor and I brought you back here. Do you remember what happened?"

"Andy, he-" was all I had to say before Vic had jumped off of my bed and bolted out of the room. "Wait Vic! Where are you going?" I called after him even though I knew the answer already. I got up and started to follow him. My stomach still hurt from the beating I took earlier so I knew that I wouldn't be able to chase after Vic. I had to convince him not to go after Andy because Vic was definitely the smaller of the two so Andy could hurt him easily and I didn't want that to happen.

"I'm going to make sure that Andy knows that he can't just do that to you. Now you need to get some rest Kellin." He said without even turning around.

"Vic, please don't do it. I don't want you to get hurt." I pleaded as we reached the top of the stairs. He stopped and I put my hand on his arm to make sure that he didn't try to leave again. His arm felt suprisingly muscular... not that it mattered.

"Kellin-" was all he could say before I cut him off. I knew what he was going to say but I didn't need to hear it because there was no way I was letting him go after Andy by himself.

"I'm not going back to the room unless you come with me." I said, doing the best that I could to be persuasive. He looked at me with a disappointed look and I just looked back at him with my best puppy dog face.

"Fine." Vic said with a sigh as he finally gave up. I let go of his arm so that he could walk and we both went back to the room. I don't know why Vic was being so stubborn about this. We have barely known each other for two days and he's acting like I'm someone who he has known for years. I knew that I shouldn't say anything because I wouldn't want to ruin my chances at finding someone who actually cared about me, but the curiosity was eating me alive.

"Vic, why do you care so much about me?" I asked while we were both sitting down on our beds ready to go to sleep.

Vic looked at me, but then shrugged his shoulders and looked away. "Just get some sleep, Kellin." he said and turned out the light. Now I just even more curious because he didn't want to tell me but I still was pretty tired so I just let it go. I let out a big sigh and went under my covers without even bothering to change my clothes.

Again, instead of sleeping, I let my mind take over. I was thinking mostly about Andy and how someone could grow to hate me so much in only a day. What had I even done that was so bad? I don't know, but I do know that I have to try to fix this before I end up doing something that I'll regret. The problem was, that me being my stubborn self, I'm going to end up saying something dumb on impulse.

Then, my mind wandered to Vic and, well, it looks like another sleepless night ahead.
