I don't like Mondays.
Today is a Monday. And I've realized how much I hate Mondays. The hatred goes high. And I can't tame it down even if I want to.
That's a different thing that I actually don't want to.
Today, on Monday when I walked the hallways of Lakeville High, the students seemed oddly very happy. The Jocks, the Queen Bees, and the rest looked really happy to be in school early on a Monday. Monday!
Shrugging it off, I opened my locker and slid out my Math book—which was my first hour for today. See why I hate Mondays?
"Hey Honey Cakes," Came a voice from the side of me. Even though I couldn't see the face, I knew it was the Green eyed boy. The annoying Green Eyed Boy. I slammed my locker shut with a larger force than needed, making Houston jump in his Nike tops. "What do you want?"
He smiled, "What're you doing today?" he asked. I looked at him like he grew another head. As if the one he had wasn't enough. "I'm attending school today Houston," I told him, like the baby he was acting like.
He scoffed, "I know that HoneyCakes," he said, as I started walking away to Math. Houston, being the annoying person he is, fell into step with me. "Where're you going?"
I swear, this person left his head at home. "I'm going to Math Houston," I said slowly like talking to a five year old. He looked at me as if I'd grown another head. And then, he laughed. Laughed?!
I would've actually loved his laugh if he wouldn't be laughing at me. "What!?" I snapped, making no difference at all. He just laughed harder to the point where he lost his breath. "N-nothing...Ha-ve Fun in M-Math!"
I felt like strangling him to death but held back knowing it'd end me in detention again. And I had no intention of sitting detention since Justin was in a mood today.
I stuck my tongue out at Houston and said: "I will have fun in Math Houston. You just see!" I didn't know where this confidence came from but I liked it and I hope it decides to stay long term. Little did I know, it was going to wash away the minute I entered Math.
The classroom was empty. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Nil. I shrugged it off and glanced at the clock. There was a minute left to start the class. Aaha! Telling myself that the people were just really unpunctual, I seated myself on the seat. Ms. Dawson, when entering the class, his jaw practically unhinged and fell to the floor. "Ma'am, are you alright?"
She clamped her mouth shut, "U-uh yes dear, I'm alright. Just didn't expect to see anybody here is all." My brows knotted at her statement. "You have a Math class to take now. Why wouldn't you expect the students to show up?"
