Heads up: New character coming up!
PROBLEM XXXVIII : Ethan Garette Lian
It felt like the air had gotten sucked out of my lungs. Leon? Didn’t I just deem him to be a good guy? What possible reason did he have to do this?
“You got him suspended, Little Red,” Dean scoffed beside me. “I should’ve known,” He muttered under his breath with a few more choice words.
We couldn’t find Leon on LakeVille High grounds until late afternoon. We found Leon in the nearby Starbucks, where we went to take a break since we had spent the whole day looking for him after knowing about him from Connel.
“He’s here,” Kyle grunted, “We better avenge that pack of cigarettes. It was a damn expensive one.” We roll our eyes, and he gave me a sheepish grin, “And also the tape.”
“Why are we even confronting him? Let’s skip to revenge!” They all agreed. Well, all except for me. Before we could turn around and dash away, Leon noticed us and called us to join him. The boys obviously wanted to beat the crap out of him, so they agreed rather eagerly. This was so not going to end good.
We all sat there, surrounding him. Dean on Leon’s left and Houston on his right. Leon was sandwiched in between and I had a notion that it was an intentional placement. He grinned at us, but it fell as soon as he saw our serious faces. “What’s up?”
“A Sextape.”
“That you.”
“Had the Guts.”
“To play in our School.”
“Hey, you didn’t leave anything for me to say! Assholes,” Grant muttered. Everyone looked at him, His eyes fell on me, and his lips formed an ‘O’ “That featured Clo!” He finished, looking smug. We all shifted our glare to Leon who sat squirming on his seat between us. As soon as the words seemed to sink in, he exclaimed in protest, “I would never! Clover?”
I gulped, “Connel told us you gave him the video and my picture to paste on it.” I said in a bitter tone. The video had really messed up my reputation in LakeVille High. Only I know how accomplished I feel not crying over this mishap.
Leon quirked his eyebrow, listening to what I had to say. The stress had left his face, replaced with tranquility and a flash of anger. He breathed out and looked at me with apologizing eyes, “I did give Connel a pendrive. Reyena told me to give it to him because she had some work that had suddenly come up. I never knew what was in that...until now. I’m sorry Clover. If I had known I would’ve never given it to him.”
It took some time to comprehend it all. I exhaled slowly, “So Reyana did this?” I asked slowly, making sure every word was clear.
Leon nodded grimly, “It seems so.”
