PROBLEM XIII |Grace Daniel Scott
"HOLA WOMAN!"
That was the high pitched voice I could've recognized even in between a roof blown concert. Grace Scott was well and back.
A smile graced my face while some heads turned to me at the loud yell that came from my locker. I smiled at her and opened my locker to stuff my baggage in. "I see you beat the fever?"
She waved me off, "'Course I did! So, what'd I miss?" she asked, her eyes wide with excitement. "A new boy? Slut Alert? New Crushes? Oh Oh! I know, Who's the New Couple?"
This is the Grace who has definitely eaten a gallon of sugar for breakfast. I sighed, "On a scale of one to ten, how much sugar have you eaten today Grace?" Her eyes enlarged and a thoughtful expression placed on her face, "Eleven!" she exclaimed. I sighed, this was going to be a lengthy day.
I grabbed her hand and linked her arm with mine, "C'mon, We got History to bear."
"But History is so boring!" she whined, her eyes child like. "Then just go to sleep," I said, pulling her towards the class. She suddenly stopped, "We should Skip!" she exclaimed into the empty hallway.
"What?" I hissed, just to get my point across that we weren't going to skip. "Let's Skip!"
Apparently, hissing wasn't enough to get the point across.
"We are not skipping," I said slowly, so each word would embed into her mind. "I don't know what you're talking about, but we're skipping," She sang as I threw my hands up in exasperation.
A hyper Grace Scott was Impossible to handle.
"We are not!" I said, and almost dragged her to the class. Just as we were about a feet away from the door, she dug her feet in the floor and stood her ground. I pulled against her will, and just to my luck some student had to be in hurry and bumped Grace's shoulder and ran away murmuring an apology. Grace lost her footing and we tumbled into the class together.
Feeling the numerous pairs of eyes on us, I quickly stood up and dusted myself. And then helped Grace up. "What are you two doing? Aren't you supposed to be in one of those seats?" Miss Hill said, her eyes narrowing at us. "Uh...we, uh-"
"Clover just got her monthly gift Miss Hill. And now she has stomach cramps and she is totally Bitchy. She needs to be home and rest, but she won't listen to me," Grace said, making my jaw fall slack as my face went up in flames and blazing red as the girls and boys looked at me funny.
