He had given me everything I needed. Everything I wanted.

Or at least what I thought I wanted.

Sometimes, winning the game isn't the fun part. It's the process, the ups and downs. It's the actual hunt, because when that treasure is found... Don't misunderstand, you'll probably be extremely happy for a while. But then the excitement is gone. The rush, the rapid beating of your heart , the adrenaline-filled moment, is over. It hits you like a hangover, like the end of a sugar rush.

To be awfully truthful, as humans, we want everything. We want the best phone, the best clothes, the best house ~ Everything the illusion we have in our minds of what a perfect life is.

But even then, we are not fully satisfied. Our cup of expectations is never truly filled.

We will always want something, no matter who you are or what situation you may be in. You will always be left with a certain craving, that endless desire for something more. Something else.

And let's face it, we will only want a certain thing for a certain time, and when that time comes, it eventually goes. It becomes too old, too boring, too ordinary... Then you move on to the next thing, only to meet the same fate.

And listening to that one wise man ~ who somewhere down the line, told you to be content with what you had, because it makes life simpler ~ was much harder than it seemed.

That's where I went wrong I guess. I never listened to that one wise man, somewhere down the line. I never really appreciated the process, the journey, as much as I could've.

Perhaps that one wise man somewhere down the line was right.
