Chapter 11: Step 1

I repeated the words slowly in my head as I pushed my way through crowded halls. I finally reached the cafeteria, clutching my bags tightly, I walked slowly towards the Populars Table. Where my sister sat chatting cheerfully with Allison. Scarlet sat at the table looking at me weirdly as I passed her and sat down opposite my sister.
"Hello" I said politely.
The cafeteria quietened. Not completely silent but the volume had decreased drastically from the time I had been using my legs and the time I had decided to plant my ass on a chair.
People suddenly shot me looks of curiosity, and there was quite murmurs about why I was sitting there. I fought the urge to roll my eyes. Couldn't anyone sit where they wanted to without being judged?
"Hey- what do you need?" My sister asked, she glanced at me slightly wearily, as if knowing I was going to ask for something.
"Nothing" I said taking out my lunch. "Just- sitting here"
"Oh" Magenta said a look of surprise into her features "that's new, did you get into a fight with Scarlet?"
"No" I said taking out a yogurt and a spoon.
"Are you sure? Because she's giving you the crazy eyes" Allison said raising an eyebrow at me.
I turned slightly in my seat and spotted Scarlet indeed giving me a pointed look that basic ally screamed "WTF ARE YOU DOING?!"

I did feel bad that I left my best friend alone but she had Jay who had just walked into the cafeteria, I spotted him at the corner of my eye. I planned on explaining to them at a later stage. Not know, they would have way to many questions I wasn't willing to answer to anyone.
For now, no one except Henry knew what I was doing.
"So- Allison-" I started but she shook her head and gave me a small glare.
"Addison" she corrected.
"Err right sorry" I nodded to her.
"So why are you sitting here?" Cathrine straight out asked me. My sister hit her arm.
"Stop being so rude will you?" She said, shooting Catharine a look.
"But-" Cathrine started and my sister glared at her.
"Nah, it's alright. I forgot some people have the incapability to be nice to others" I said shooting her a smile "I'm spending time with other people for a change"
"I can be nice! You are just a bi-" she started but my sister sighed impatiently.
"Stop" she said through clenched teeth.
"Cool so your like twins?" Fred some guy from the football team smirked at me as he sat down.
"Yeah" I said. He smiled, showing his pearly white teeth. I shrugged aimlessly,
"Cool" he nodded, "I haven't seen you around lately"
"Yeah- I don't sit here. Like ever" I said biting my lip and refraining from being my usual sarcastic self.
"Nice- you are hot" he said bluntly.
I was taken back by the comment. He said it so casually and a few guys from the table nodded in agreement.
"Ha thanks" I said smiling awkwardly and trying to ignore the burning sensation in my cheeks.
"No problem" he said waving it off.
"So-" a guy said from the table, I think he's name was Chad. He looked like a Chad.
"Do you wanne do something sometime?"
Before I could say anything in response, Cathrine chocked on her prawn salad.
My sister patted her back, and Cathrine smiled to her appreciatively.
"Sorry Bob?" She asked him.
"I wasn't talking to you" he said frowning.
"Yeah! I totally agree, we should do something this weekend" she smiled faking, enthusiasm. "All of us"
"Sure" my sister glowered "good idea"
"I was thinking maybe the cinema's" Fred said.
"No" Kendall said shaking his head, he had blue oceanic eyes, pitch black hair that fell in his eyes and dimples. "It's boring"
"No it isn't" Fred said.
"Trust me dude, it is as a group activity. " Kendall said.
"How about an amusement park?" Another guy said. He was more quieter and I only noticed his presence then, he had blonde hair, light brown hazel eyes and a amused look.
"Good idea" I nodded, I loved the idea of going on blood- tingling, exhilarating rides.
I smiled, wondering why I hadn't sat with these people sooner. Scarlet hated amusement parks. We never went because she was scared of all the fun rides and opted for the slightly less fun rides.
"I like that" Fred said smiling widely.
"I'm down" Chad grinned, he stole a glance at me.
"No" Cathrine said causing everyone to look at her. "How about the beach?"
"Ooh yeah!" Sarah, a short brown headed girl with glasses grinned excitedly. "I need to tan...I'm so -pale"
"Plus I heard it'd be hot on Saturday" my sister said looking up.
"And I got a new bikini yesterday" Riele said smiling, she was a gorgeous girl with dark skin, light brown eyes and beautiful long braided hair. "I got it from Roxy"
"Riele in a bikini?" Fred grinned at the thought. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Riele looked down at the remainder of her food, her cheeks with a small tint of red.
"Yeah man" Chad fist pumped Fred.
"So the beach it is?" Cathrine said nodding, her eyes completely on me. I avoided her gaze not dating to say a word.
"Right?" She said when I didn't respond. I knew why she was doing this and it fueled my hate fire for her.
"How about we do that and the amusement park after wards?" Chad said to me.
I remembered what Henry had said to me the day before,
Do everything the popular wanted, as long as it wasn't dodgy or against your morals.
Cathrine stared at me, the whole table quietly waiting for my response.
The question was innocent, let's go to the beach. It sounded like fun actually but I had my reasons.
"S-sure" I said, attempting a enthusiastic smile but it sounded weak and wrong. My eyes connected with my sisters and she shot me an apologetic look.
"Cool Saturday it is," she nodded "and there's a ranger on Friday, you can't miss that can you now"
Cathrine smiled evilly.
"Yeah- Carter Kliptons Parties are the freaking best" Kendall commented "you have to come"
"Uh huh I'll be there" I said weakly. The bell rang, much to my excitement. I stood up and turned, throwing my food into the nearest bin. I dashed out of the cafeteria regretting the whole stupid bet.
