"I need to get him back," I muttered, my words laced with venom.

"Who?" Kate, one of my closest friends, asked me dubiously, as I clutched the phone closer to my ear.

"Asher!" I screamed at her.

"Why? I mean were you guys together or-"

"No!" I squealed, disgusted.

"Then why do you need to get him back?" Kate asked me, again, her tone bored.

"I NEED TO GET REVENGE," I explained, exasperatedly.

"Oh," she replied, as realization dawned upon her.

"So?"

"Ask Hadley, she's much better at revenge," Kate advised me.

"She's in London for the weekend, touring Oxford," I told her, my nails tapping against the countertop impatiently.

"I feel so wanted for being your second choice," she replied.

"You just said that she's better at revenge yourself," I pointed out.

"True, but-"

"Revenge," I interrupted her. After a few more minutes of aimless talking and unusable ideas, we came up with one promising, evil, yet somehow exhilarating idea. Now all that was left was the execution.

"Did you do it?" I asked Hadley, as she rounded the corner, meeting up with me and Kate, to brief us before we went out into the hallway.

"Yeah," she nodded, an evil glint clear in her green eyes. She walked away from us, to her position; her locker.

"Good job, now all that's left to do is for Kate to distract him, so I can sneak up behind him, and put the superglue and duct tape on his locker. Then Kate will-" I started to recite.

"We know, you went over it like twenty times. At least," Kate rolled her eyes.

"Okay, but remember that-" I began.

"That we need to wait until Hadley says the coast is clear?" she asked me.

"Yeah," I gulped, my heartbeat racing. My phone dinged, and I glanced at it for a fleeting moment.

Hadley: Coast clear. Operation Super Stuck is a go!

Me: I told you not to call it that.

Hadley:  Whtvr

Me: Kay.

I ushered Kate in the general direction of where Asher was leaning against the lockers, surrounded by his friends and a bunch of desperate girls, and crossed my fingers in anticipation.

"Hey Asher!" Kate screamed out, her face holding pure fury. Asher glanced up disinterested, and rolled his eyes as Kate advanced on him like an angry shark.

"What do you want?" Asher snapped, and Kate visibly tuned up her anger.

"You said you loved me!" Kate started off, earning a quiet snicker from me, and a couple of wide-eyed  glances among his friends, including Jace. "You said that we would be together forever! You promised," she muttered accusingly, "that you wouldn't flirt with the other girls. That they meant nothing to you! SO THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS HOE?"

"Look-" Asher started to say, as Kate willed tears to stream down her face, her mascara smudging perfectly to add to the heartbroken guise. Asher turned away from the girl he was chatting up before Kate came up to him, stepping closer to Kate, and I took that as a perfect opportunity  to sneak up behind him and put the superglue on his locker. My pulse started rising noticeably, and I wondered if the adrenaline had kicked in yet. I sure hope not. I had history next period.

Hidden by Asher and the brunette, I quickly applied the superglue and duct tape onto the smooth surface of his locker. The green duct tape patterned with lizards took centuries to find, but it was worth it. He'd know it was me.

As Kate and Asher continued arguing, which mostly comprised of Asher attempting to calm Kate down, and Kate cutting him off with another string of angry accusations, I continued to squirt the superglue on the locker's surface, unnoticed. But time was running out, as Asher was clearly growing suspicious with Kate's angry monologues. He started to turn, and my heart stopped for a moment, but Kate took a step closer to him, as if she was going to kiss him. I watched her in amazement, as she lifted her hand.

Then she slapped him.

And I almost burst out laughing.

I quickly finished, as Asher stared at her in shock and obvious anger.  I scurried off and gave Kate a discreet thumbs up, and she walked closer to him, causing him to back up against the lockers. Specifically, his locker. Specifically, the locker with adhesives on it. I smirked.

Kate spun on her heel and stalked off in my general direction, leaving Asher bewildered.
