Was I wrong to hate him?
Was it bad that I loved him?
Was I stupid for deluding myself?"Kara," Kate stated, causing me to look up from my book. I finished the page quickly, and turned the glare at her.
"What?" I snapped.
"Asher?" she asked, raising her eyebrows amusedly.
"Yes," I urged her to continue, aching to turn back to my book.
"Revenge?" Hadley piped in.
"Yes."
"Plan?" Jace finished.
"Yes."
"As in you have one?" Hadley asked me, her curiosity peaked.
"Perhaps," I told her, holding up the plastic bag in my hand.
"Holy fuck! Is that real?" Kate exclaimed, scrambling away from me.
"Maybe," I shrugged.
"Kara," Kate glared at me.
"No. Of course not. But it is a remote controlled one," I grinned at her. She rolled her eyes and turned back to her history textbook.
"So when?" Hadley asked me.
"After school. Library," I informed her, glancing at Jace.
"You sure revenge is the only reason you're going?" Hadley smirked, as I stared at her. Abruptly, I lifted my lunch and threw it at her. She dodged easily, and rolled her eyes too, turning to look at her math textbook.

"You got it?" I asked him again, as he looked down to glare at me.
"Yes," he huffed, coming down from the small stepladder that he had set up to reach the top of the shelves.
"Cool," I replied, sighing in relief. Jace rolled his eyes, and turned to press me against the wall next to the bookshelf. His warm breath fanned over my face, causing jitters to flow through my body.
"Kara," he breathed out, "he's here."
I widened my eyes, and then grabbed Jace's hand, dragging him out from the shelves. We both ended up at the front counter, with him behind it, and me sitting upon it, facing him.
"We need to act natural," I informed him.
"Okay," he agreed, taking my chin and placing his lips onto mine. I heard the library's front door open, just as Jace tugged me closer, placing his arms loosely around my hips.
"You guys look perturbing. Jace, how could ever settle for this bitch?" I heard Asher call out. Jace broke away from me, sending a deadly glare towards Asher.
"You said you were here to help," Jace told him coldly.
"That I am," Asher informed him, dropping his things onto the floor with a big thud.
"Go to row J and you'll see a stepladder. Just put these," Jace paused, handing him the books with a little more force than necessary, "in order by the author's last name."
"You sure he can do it?" I asked Jace, feigned innocence coloring my tone, a smirk growing on my face.
"Probably not," Jace admitted, and Asher scowled.
"I'll be right back," Asher sneered, and stalked off in the wrong direction. I rolled my eyes and turned my head so I was facing Jace again.
"Tell me when it's clear," I ordered Jace, and he nodded. After a few minutes, Jace discreetly nodded towards me, and I stumbled over the counter quickly, grabbing the remote control.
I stealthily skulked (at least that's what I thought) to row I, the closest row to row J, and hid behind the shelves. I could see Asher from this point, and currently, he was climbing the stepladder so he could put the books away.
I waited a few more minutes, so he was in the position I desired, and I pressed the forward motion on the remote control I was holding.
"What the fuck?" Asher bellowed, hastily climbing down the step ladder, as something crawled up his arm. He shook it off his arm quickly, but he couldn't move, as I cornered him with the remote controlled spider. He backed away, until he was pressed up against the wall, his eyes holding sparkling fear. I forced the spider onto his foot slowly, and Asher didn't try to shake it off. He stood there, paralyzed there in fear.
Well it was understandable, because the spider was impersonating a black widow spider.
And of course, he had deathly fear of spiders.
Thank you, Jace.
The spider started to crawl up his leg, and at that point, his face contorted into a grimace that was so hilarious, that I couldn't hold it in, and I burst out in laughter.
"Kara?" Asher called out in confusion.
I replied with more laughter, and Asher's expression quickly changed from confusion to suspicion.
"Kara."
"Mhm," I choked out.
"Watch out," he evenly stated, taking the spider off his leg and threw it onto the floor, causing it to break into pieces, and walked out of the library.
Well shit.
