"I think I'm in love," I mumbled dazed, looking at the picture on the poster.
"Me too," Hadley breathed out, glancing at it in awe.
"Eh, I've seen better," Kate shrugged, and both Hadley and I turned to glare at her.
"The body of it-" I started.
"Is perfect," Hadley finished for me.
"Are we talking about me?" I heard a familiar voice break the enchanting revere of the picture.
"Definitely not," I snapped, without even throwing a glare in his direction.
"You sure?" he asked, leaning close to my ear.
"Asher, would you kindly shut the fuck up, and let me admire this dress in peace?" I shot back, inching away from his mouth, which was the source of the warm breath tickling my ear.
"Well, I would, but-" he began to inform me, when Jace and Owen walked up to where we were standing.
"Hey," Jace smiled at me as he came to stand next to me, and Asher rolled his eyes, taking a discreet step back from me.
"Hey," I whispered, a small smile forming on my face.
"You good?" he asked me softly, and I nodded in response.
"So," Owen began, "you guys have any plans for this weekend?"

Owen's grand plan was... an indoor water park. Oh joy. So many ways to die. So many kids.
So many people.
I shrugged on a pair of yoga pants, and a loose white shirt, stuffing my white batwing cover up in my purse. The white top showed a faint outline of my red and white striped halter bikini, but I didn't mind. I would have to take it off eventually, anyways. I slipped my feet into my bright red flip flops, and grabbed my purse and sunglasses.
A honk cut through the silence, as I quickly ran down the stairs. I swiped my army green jacket off the hanger quickly, and walked outside my house, still trying to shove my arm through the hole. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, as an unfamiliar red Beemer drove into my driveway.
I ran towards it hesitantly, rolling my eyes when I saw the driver. Of course it was Asher.
I just knew that Kate was behind this.
Wonderful.
I opened the door aggressively, slamming it behind me, my frustration obviously shown through my actions.
"Where's Jace?" I huffed, buckling my seatbelt swiftly.
"Jeez woman, abuse me, but don't abuse my baby," Asher whined, starting up his car slowly.
"I'm so sorry, but you're the one that attacked my car first" I apologized sarcastically, glaring at him, with his stupid sunglasses on his idiotic face.
"Anyways, we're picking Jace up next," Asher shrugged, turning his steering wheel carefully as he made the turn.
"Thanks," I replied curtly, before adding, "why are you wearing sunglasses? It's winter."
"UV rays are year round, sweetheart," he told me, taking another right turn.
"How long did it take you to memorize that?" I smirked, faking a coo.
"Only," he paused to count his fingers, "three hours," he informed me.
"Good job!" I exclaimed, letting sarcasm flood my tone.
"I know, I'm so proud," he smiled, turning right once more.
Three rights?
"Why did you just take three rights?" I asked him suspiciously.
"Did I?" Asher asked, his expression puzzled.
"Yes. You did," I said slowly, trying to keep my voice calm.
"Oops?" Asher shrugged, stopping in front of a house. He honked twice, and flashed me a mischievous grin. "Maybe I just wanted to spend more time with you," he winked.
"I hate you," I deadpanned, turning to look at Jace's house intently, willing him to come out.
"Don't worry. We all know you love me," he grinned again, and I rolled my eyes, exaggeratedly in response.
"Sure," I muttered sarcastically.
Jace then came out, saving me from more aggravating banter with Asher. He was wearing white swimming trunks, and a dark blue shirt that made his blue eyes twinkle. His hair was shining in the warm sunlight, although it wasn't as bright as Asher's dirty blonde hair.
Forget that comment.
Delete it.
It never happened.
Never.
He flashed me a smile, climbing into the back of the car. I craned my neck to look at him, and replied with a small smile of my own.
"Hey," he whispered softly.
"Hey," I chuckled back, turning to glare at Asher, who was making gagging noises.
"Shut up," I snapped.
"I will if you will," Asher shrugged, as I smirked at him. I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt, and leaned over, so I could reach Jace. I pressed my lips against his firmly, as he lifted me over the partition between the front and the back of the car. I ended up on top of him, my thin shirt displaced due to the movement. His hands rested on my hips, his fingers brushing bare skin. I smiled against his lips, as Asher cleared his throat disgustedly. My eyes flickered open, as I glared at him in annoyance, turning my head. Jace grinned against my neck, planting soft kisses down to my collarbone. I let out a small whimper, as Jace shifted both of us, so that he was hovering on top of me.
"We have to go," Asher huffed, obviously frustrated. But there was a sense of anger in his voice too. Jealousy?
No.
Maybe.
Of me, perhaps. Taking Jace from him.
Yeah that's why.
