guess what my lovelies? i have a twist for you. this one's from Raven's POV :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't know why I came here. That's all I can think, waiting in a three-person line to get a bottle of water. Not here specifically. I know perfectly well why I came to this weird little club called Nevermind. What I don't know is why I came to this town. Why did I want to live with my aunt in a little town of nobodies rather than go to California with my parents? Yeah, I hate the sun, and the beach, and pretty much everything else in California. And sure, my aunt has been way more accepting of me than my parents have since I came out a couple years ago. But why here? Why this town?
There are three things I have always been proud of about myself: I'm an atheist, I've never played a team sport, and I've never been in love. Whoops! Down to two things. I'll give you a hint. I still don't believe in God, and I didn't spontaneously start playing soccer.
Yup, that's right.
I'm in love with Evie Jennings.
I know she doesn't even know my full name. How do I know hers? I'm good at finding things out. Let's just leave it at that.
When I went to that rave, I was just looking for another girl toy. But I admit, when I saw Evie, I thought she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I knew that she was the one I was looking for. She was adorable, trying to look all badass with a bunch of piercings and a punk-rock haircut. I could tell that she had never even seen a tab of acid, never mind gone to anything remotely similar to a rave. I vowed, on the spot, to take this girl and corrupt her to the bone.
I thought I would have to get creative and stalker-ish to find her again (after the rave) so I left her the patchouli-scented poem to ensure that I stayed in her mind. Us being at the same high school, that was just luck. Us being in the same art class? That was fate.
Of course I took the opportunity to ask her out! At that point, I wasn't completely sure if she was a lesbian. Or rather, if she knew she was a lesbian. I could tell by the way she looked at me that she was, but, you know, sometimes people have a hard time admitting it to themselves. So I said it in a way that didn't really sound like I was asking her out on a date. But now I could see that she was obviously into me, in way more than a best-friend way.
What am I trying to say here? What is my point, exactly?
I was new in town, and looking for a girl toy. I found an innocent girl to corrupt, got her to go out with me, planned everything perfectly. What I didn't plan for was how much she would mean to me. What I didn't mean to do was fall in love.
Which brings us back to the present: Evie and me in an unusual, alternative hangout called Nevermind, me standing in line waiting to buy a water. Now there was only one person ahead of me. I glanced over at where Evie was sitting. I couldn't see her from here, but I could picture her perfectly: her posture, her expression, the way she slightly rocked back and forth to the music. I loved every little thing about her. I was starting to disgust myself.
