Chapter 31

LUCY'S POV

We talked the rest of the lunch break.
I learned that Natsu loves spicy things.
BRIINNNG!BRIIIINNNNG!
"Thats the bell." I said sighing, it was actually really great talking with Natsu. We would talk about funny things that happened to us and then we would crack up laughing that tears would fall down our faces. Natsu would always wipe my tears with his thumb. I loved the side of Natsu that was funny, carefree,cute and childish.
"Natsu come on let's go to class." I grabbed Natsu's hand and I started to walk out of the cafeteria.
"I'm gonna miss you Luce I can't go half the day without seeing that pretty face of yours." I started to blush and Natsu just giggled at my embarrassment before kissing me lightly on the lips.
"And I'll miss that handsome face of yours Natsu." I said back. His cheeks turned a light pink and it was actually very cute.
"Meet me at the park at 6:30 today."
"Okay, I can't wait." I said squealing like a fangirl.
I didn't have any classes with Natsu in the afternoon which  really sucked.

TIME SKIP AFTER SCHOOL
After school I waved goodbye to Levy anddthe rest of the girls. Erza had to stay after school to work on something with Jellal the vice president of the student council. I could tell she was nervous because she kept playing with the end of her skirt the whole time in class.
Natsu had bid me goodbye before we both made our way home.

I finished all the homework that had been assigned today which wasnt alot. I took a short nap and a shower before i started to pick an outfit for our date.
What to wear? I had never been on a date before so I didn't know what to wear.

I opened my closet and there were quite alot of good looking outfits that could be considered. I thought of an outfit that Natsu would like.

"Hmmm, Natsu's favourite colour is red and i may have a red dress somewhere around here." I said to myelf. I searched for a good few minutes until i finally found the one i was looking for, it was a plain red dress that hugged my body perfectly and i matched it with a red ribbon to tie up my hair.( The dress in the picture.)

"Perfect." I smiled at my reflection in the bathroom mirror and admired how gorgeous the dress looked on me.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I closed the alarm on my phone that signaled it was time to go. The moment i got home i had set an alarm on my phone that would start to ring when it was 6:15 so i would have 15 minutes to get to the park.

Hey dont get me wrong i normally am very fast at getting dressed but i wanted to make sure that i looked my best for Natsu.

I started to walk to the park which thankfully was an isolated and small so noone really knew about, i didnt have to worry about anyone doing anything funny espiecally when it starts to get dark.

When i got there i looked around for any sign of Natsu.

"Luce looking for me." Natsu said appearing behind me which caused me to yelp and stumble a bit backwards, luckily Natsu caught me by the waist and he pulled me back on my feet.

He was wearing a red jacket with a white shirt underneath. He had light brown pants and red running shoes, how can someone be so handsome

"Thanks Natsu." I placed a hand on his shoulder for support.

"Anything for you Luce." He said giving me a grin.

"Now what do you have in store for me today?" I asked Natsu now that i was fully facing him.

"You'll see." He said smirking.

"Come on Luce, but first close your eyes." He said dragging me to a place unknown.

I slowly closed my eyes as i was dragged around to the right and the left.

"You can open your eyes now." Natsu said moving to stand beside me.

When my eyes fluttered open i was shocked at what i saw. One the ground was a picnic and all around it were candles that formed a huge heart. The sun was setting so it made the scene so much more like a dream.

"Natsu...... I have no words. Thank you!" I said crashing into him with so much force that it caused him to stumble a bit backwards.

"Then dont say anything. I'm glad you like it, It took a lot of time to prepare." Natsu hugged me back and tears started to form in the corner of my eyes.

"Dont cry Luce this was supposed to make you happy not sad."

"Natsu its jsut that no one has ever done something like this for me before." I said as the tears started to fall down my face, leaving a tear stain on his red jacket.

"Sorry about your jacket." I said feeling quite guilty. I tried to dry the tear stain with my hands but Natsu just grabbed my hand and told me not to worry about it.

"Lets go eat!" He grabbed my hand and made me sit on the picnic. Natsu handed me a sandwich and we both started to eat. It tasted so delicious that it literally killed my tastebuds.

" This is so good." I said as i continued to stuff the sandwich into my mouth.

" You really think so?" He said finishing his sandwich.

"Yeah! Wait a minute? Did you make this?"

"Yeah!" He said scratching the nape of his neck with his arm, His cheeks were slightly pink.

"Your a great cook. You should cook for me again some day." I said still taking huge bites of my sandwich.

"Sure anytime Luce." He grinned back at me. I was getting used to Natsu smiling and he looked even more handsome.

"You know Natsu you should smile more often you look better when you smile." I stated.

"Sure but only when your around im still not used to other people." He clarified.

"Oh-okay."

We finished eating and he packed up the picnic. Natsu suggested that we take a walk before heading back.
