Darian sat on a high chair watching in a Vision bowl. Half filled with blue water of Danone river and silver sand of mystic island.
A satisfying smiled played on his lips when Stefan selflessly lied to Tessa that he can fight hundreds of beasts. 20 or 30 he might but hundreds of them were too much for him, that to without any weapon. Aye, he lied to save her life, giving up his only escape Ambrosden to her.
Five years before he gave his beloved twin brother punishment for all the bad things he had done. Bad things that asked for nothing less then Stefan's head for committing them, but he couldn't just order to kill his own brother. However bad and cruel he had become, whatever bad choices he had made but he was still his brother and he always knew deep down in his chest there was a heart of gold. As pure and warm as his own and he was just waiting for the opportunity to get the glimpse of it. He got that glimpse today when he saw Stefan trying to send Tessa away so he could save her from Xaincia's law.
Then he saw it again when Stefan said to Tessa that she reminded him that he still has heart and it finally shown fully when he decided to give his life for Tessa.
Although he has ordered Stefan's punishment by exile but he always kept an eye on him through the Vision bowl. He never have completely given up on him. Today his brother has showed the courage of an Xaincian Worrior.
Proudly he watched Stefan fight the beasts with his bare hands. When one of the beasts managed to come too close to Stefan while he was busy fighting three other. The cunning beast scratched Stefan's shoulder, turning his wet white shirt red.
Darian winced as if it was his shoulder the beast has scratched. He could stand it no longer, he summon the Curse and Pride in Stefan's hands. Before leaving his study in all haste.

Stefan was trying to fight with the beasts, he knew he won't be able to fight them all but they were coming on him in groups of four or five at a time while others circling them growling as if waiting for their turn.
He wished if he had some kind of weapon, then there would have been a chance of winning, but there was none. He never thought this evening would turn out to be his last. When he came out in search of Tessa, he didn't think to bring his hunter's knife or the newly acquired pistol.
Now he was at disadvantage, by not having any weapon and the beasts number. He knew that fighting them was useless but he was once a worrior and a worrior could never give up without fighting.
He didn't even noticed when a cunning beast came behind him and scrached his shoulder with sharp nails.
He was only aware that he was fighting a group of three and another group of four had started towards him.
How he wished he had his knife or better yet his sword....
Suddenly unbreakable and omnipotent sword 'The Curse and Pride' was in his hand. Although he was shocked by its sudden appearance but he wasn't going to give them any benefits of his shock. Now he can fight all of them together.
"Thanks brother" he mumbled before he went thundered towards the beasts, slaying them left and right, while bearing in his mind "Darian have always been watching over him"

Ambrosden was breezing through the trees, Tessa was holding to him tightly. The snapping beasts were left behind long time ago but still there was something after them, something way more dangerous then beasts.
She could feel it and she was sure Ambrosden felt it too. He was running faster then he ran before to evade the beasts.
What could be dangerous then the beasts?
