Janet watched her husband from the study room's door as he was sitting, facing away from her, but she could clearly see how worried he was for Stefan.
Darian truly loved his brother even after all that Stefan has done to him. It's need a great heart to forgive something like that and her Xaincian warrior surely have that. She thought how have she gotten so lucky find such a man.
She walked behind him and kept her hands on his shoulders, gently massaging his tensed and knoted muscles.
"Mmmm... it feels good" Darian said and leaned back on the chair.
"So far no luck?" She asked looking at the vacant seer bowl.
"Umm huh" He replied.
"Come to bed darling, it's quite late. He may come tomorrow..."
"Nay. He would have come long time ago, if he wanted to come home. We lied to the lass but we can't lie to ourselves. The truth is he is not coming home and we can't find him on earth."
"What are we going to do?" She murmured more to herself then him but he replied anyway arranging the seer bowl again "we'll find him"
She came around and sat on the arm of his chair while he tried again in vain to search his brother.
"How can I don't see him?" He mumbled.
"Maybe he is not on earth..." Janet said what came to her mind.
"What do you mean love?" He asked and dreaded the answer he might get.
"Maybe Alayken..."
"Nay. We know Alayken is hiding in Nomansland and...."
"And Stefan might have gone to him"
"He didn't" Darian said and added looking up at his wife "I thought that too when he didn't show up for hours. I checked every corner of Nomansland's but there was no sign of him or there." He guiltily hid that he didn't even saw Alayken or Tiatan on Nomansland. Would it be possible that they are together somewhere, hidden from him by that mad warlock's magic?
He shook his head to rid of such thoughts. Stefan is not going to commit to same mistakes again. He knows it.
Then where is he?
"I didn't know you can see in Nomansland too with these." Janet was saying looking in one of the seer bowls.
He laughed at her, amused by her interest in his world and her lack of knowledge even after spending five years in Xaincia. He placed a light kiss on her shoulder to gain her attention.
When he did, he stood up and made her sit in the chair he vacated. She sat and looked up at him. "Look in there" he said pointing towards the seer bowl. She complied.
"Now just say the name of who you want to see and slowly blow the water" he instructed.
Janet thought a while then whispered her sister Reeba's name and blew on the still water of seer bowl. The low ripples made by her breath shifted the silver sand at the bottom of it. It swirled around and suddenly she could Reeba's legs, locked over a man's buttocks as he rocked against her. Their steamy moans and loud breathing rang into her ears, making her face ablaze with ambarrasment. "Oh God" she said in a strangled voice and turned away from the bowl.
Darian threw his head up and laughed "What have thought she must be doing this part of the night?" He said still laughing.
"I... I... I didn't think..." she stammered.
"Think before you ask the seer bowl to show you something" he said after laughing some more.
"I got it okay. Now would you please stop that thing?" She said pointing her finger towards the bowl, still not looking at it but the souds they were making was proof enough that the vison was still going on.
