The Angel of Death

Part - 26

Darian and Stefan landed together on the borders of Nomansland. Bringing an army was useless as they knew they were against only two opponents Alayken and Tiatan.

Although Tiatan can manifest an illusion of an entire army but that's all that would be, an illusion. Vanishing into thin air, just with one blow of a sword. Apart from that Alayken was nothing but an old man, with no knowledge or skills for battle or even an one to one combat. But that doesn't mean winning will be an easy thing for the brothers because their enemies has the two most precious women at their mercy and these two brothers would do anything to save them.

A direct attack was impossible as they knew Tiatan must have warded the castle with one of his spell, so the best policy would be to get Alayken out to talk and while Darian keep him busy, Stefan would go in the castle to save Janet and Tessa, because he had been at ruined castle of Nomansland before many a times with Alayken, he knows it well enough to stand a better chance to find them.

Only problem was Tiatan, they didn't know where he would be. With his magical powers he could be anywhere. Out with Alayken, shrouded with an invisibility spell or in the castle guarding the women. They would prefer him to be in the castle so Stefan could take care of him but if he would came out with Alayken when Darian calls him then it could mean disaster.

"Being invisible he could cast any spell to subdue you." Stefan poited out.

"It won't be easy this time that I know his cunning moves" Darian answered, feeling bad that his brother has so little trust in him but at the same time he was happy to know Stefan cared for him.

"I know it won't be easy but it could happen. Like that time when he threw you out from Xaincia to earth."

"Aye, and I am glad that he did. Otherwise I would have never found Janet."

"But you would definitely won't feel this glad if he did it again. Would you?"

"Nay"

"So?"

"So nothing. This is the risk we have to take. We don't have much time, we have to wrap it up before the hour is up and Timothy comes here with an army."

"Right. But be careful brother." Stefan said finally.

"I will, now wait for my signal. I am going to call Alayken, remember, you need to step in the perimeter of the castle exactly with me or..."

"Or Tiatan will come to know two people crossed the ward instead of one. I know. Now go ahead with the plan already." Stefan said and Darian rolled his eyes at his brother's impatience before he roared out loudly to make the ruined castle shredder with the impact "ALAYKEN!"

"Darian..." Janet said, recognizing her husband's voice and tried to get up but Tessa caught her arm, keeping her where they were hiding.

"Shhhh... don't make a noise. Don't forget we are still in the castle and they can be anywhere. You don't want to be caught and put back behind the lock again." Tessa whispered.

"But he is here, now everything will be alright." Janet said desperately.

" Of course it will but don't you think being caught again will only put Darian back into the position of negotiations that would only mean death for both of you and your children?"

"No..., Oh... what am I supposed to do?"

"Nothing right now. Just wait for the right moment to announce our presence, after we reach close enough to Darian so he could save us all." Tessa said and wondered where was Stefan? Has he gone back to earth alone thinking his beloved uncle dropped her at her home like he promised? Has he surrendered to Xaincian warriors? If he has, then why he is not here with his brother? Did Darian actually threw him in dungeons as Stefan expected? If that's what has happened then nobody will be able to save Darian from her. Well, after he saves them from here.
