R: Hey I need an escape. Can I come over?
S: yeah its me the kids and dad here so you're good. See you in a bit
R: cool I'm headed there now.

"Okay so what's going on here?" Shelbi was sitting with Jo, Gabby's little brother, on the couch. They were watching a kids show and she was genuinely confused.
"So this guy, on the right, is bad and he's trying to steal that giant gun thing over there. The only catch is that he's about to get captured by the good guy and his partner because they are tricking him right now. Got it?" Jo replied.
"Yeah I think so. What grade are you going to be in next year?"
"7th I'm really excited!"
"Really? I'm glad you're excited. Love you." She said kissing him on the forehead.
"Okay then," Ryan said before he walked out of the house. He had just come in while no one had noticed.
"Hey!" Shelbi said running after him. "What's wrong? Ryan! Ryan Timothy Crutchfield, talk to me right now."
When she said his full name he stopped and they stood in the shade of the tree.
"What?" He almost yelled at her.
She was slightly scared because he never yelled but still said, "what is your problem right now?"
"Um what was that? On the couch?"
"He's like my little brother! That's gabbys little brother, you know Jake's best friend, the one going into seventh grade!" She was yelling and on the verge of tears. So much was running through her mind but the only thoughts that repeated were he doesn't trust me? What did I do to make him not trust me?
"Oh really?"
"Yes! You need to calm down. Tell me why you're here. What did you need a break from?"
"Jack and Dai. We were arguing and I just needed to get away."
"So that's why you just blew up about a seventh grader? Who has no competition factor whatsoever."
"No I just blew up because that's not what it looked like! You two were cuddling and you kissed him and told him you loved him!"
"Hes. My. Brother. Ryan, why would I tell you to come over if I was doing that and you shouldn't have seen it?"
"Well I'm leaving. I shouldn't have come over I'll just go to the cabin."
"Fine leave! I'll see if you are thinking straight later. Bye, Ryan." Shelbi couldn't hold the tears any longer so she ran in without hearing Ryan respond.

"Shelbi?" About an hour later a voice came over the phone crying very hard.
"Jackie? What's wrong?" Shelbi said running through all the bad scenarios in her mind.
"It's Ryan. There was an accident."
The phone clattered to the floor and she just ran outside.
