sunday is definitely a better day for me to write more because I have nearly all day most of the time to write so I will try to update every Sunday I have more story planned out so it should be easy but I have a busy school schedule and I just got a boyfriend like Wednesday so I am talking to him as much as possible because I don't get to see him that much. This is just a filler chapter because something BIG is gonna happen soon. I might update twice this week just so I can write the BIG thing.
"When are yall goin' on another date?" Gabby had been asking this same question for a week and a half now. It'd been two weeks since Shelbi and Ryan's first date. They'd been hanging out but hadn't actually gone on another date.
"Actually we are going tomorrow night to dinner and the rodeo," Shelbi responded with the biggest smile on her face.
"Wow such a good old fashioned cowboy," Morgan piped up from the kitchen.
"Oh shush!" Shelbi couldn't help but agree.R: I'll be there in 10 minutes hope you're ready for the rodeo
S: I am so ready! I'll be waitin. Who's drivin?
R: Jackie. She says hi
S: HI JACKIE!!
R: she laughed at that. See you in a few
S: okay see you"Hey! Okay so dinner will be at the rodeo but before everyone starts. Got it?" Jackie was layin out the nights events when Shelbi got in the car.
"Yep. I'm just ready watch someone fall tonight. I haven't been to a rodeo in a while," Shelbi was shaking with excitement. They had barbecue for dinner then sat and talked till everyone started riding and roping.
Then after the kids went into the arena the announcer said something different than most rodeos she'd been to. "Okay everyone between the ages of... 14 and... 21 please make your way to the arena."
"What are they doing?" Jackie wondered standing.
"I don't know," Ryan was just as confused.
As the three made their way to the arena they saw others doing the same in a confused manner.
The announcer continued, "we know you guys are confused but we have a game for you guys."
When everyone had gotten into the arena they were put into two lines, seperated females and males, and asked if they were alone or there with anyone else in the lines. They were grouped together with their people.
"Okay now if you're here and not on a date I want you to walk away from the center of the arena," the announcer seemed almost excited about this. "Wow only two couples! Now if you're single and here meet someone new! Friends or more than that doesn't matter. Mingle! Now for you two couples you get the best seats in the house."
They were led to their new seats with the other couple who they talked to on the way.
They met the announcer later. The first thing he said was, "ladies, what is your favorite part of the rodeo from this point on?"
"The barrel racing!" Shelbi had no idea what the other girl was going to say but she had to respond first.
"I'll have to say calf ropin because this pretty lady here stole my answer," the other woman said shooting a look at Shelbi.
"Okay follow me calf roping is up next," the announcer took the couple to a private room behind a giant mirror. The announcer came back a while later and said the barrel racing was about to start and took Ryan and Shelbi to a different room that was also behind a large mirror. "Right in here. Have fun kids but not too much fun! There are cameras!"
"Aye aye, Cap'n!" Ryan said making Shelbi laugh.
"Oh its a two way mirror! Okay. Wow this is romantic! You sure you didn't plan this?" Shelbi assumed it was a two way mirror but wasn't sure till she was in the room.
"I swear I didn't plan any of this. I'm glad we're alone now though. Jackie is just a tad crazy at rodeos."
"Oh she's fine you should see Morgan at rodeos."
"They'd get along beautifully!" They both laughed then stationed themselves to get a good view and got some food off the table behind them and soda out of the mini fridge. They were there for the rest of the rodeo and net Jackie at the car when it was over. They dropped Shelbi off at home and until he was home they talked nonstop.
