Boy Meets Girl, Girl Loves Boy

9-Week 6

"It's been 5 weeks. That's weird to me because I usually don't count it like that but in two days we are going on another date for our six week mark," Shelbi was talking to Bly and Alex who really liked Ryan. They had only met one other and hadn't liked him from the start.
"Can we say hi to Ryan?" Alex questioned.
"Yes, goose, I'll call him and you can both talk to him just wait till after I make your lunch!"
"Yeah! I can talk to him about my comic book!" Bly said throwing his empty plate in the air and making his way to the table.
"Dorks. Brae! Lunch in a few!" Shelbi was making corn dogs and mac and cheese because that's all they had at the moment.
"Okay!" Braelyn's small voice yelled from the back of the house.

After the kids had eaten and all three had talked to Ryan Shelbi let the play on the trampoline while her and Ryan talked on the phone.
"Okay so I was thinking we could just hang out at my house as our date?" Ryan questioned. He had a plan but wasn't sure if Shelbi wanted to cooperate without information.
"Sure! Sounds good to me what'll we do?"
"It's a surprise! I gotta go we are gettin a new pony tonight and I'm gonna be the one workin with it! I'm excited!"
"Okay bye, Ryan, see you in 48 hours I expect to see a fully trained pony!" Shelbi laughed they both hung up and she layed in their hammock and smiled for a bit.

The next 48 hours were a blur but she pulled up to his house with extra clothes just in case she got super dirty and needed a shower.
"Hey!" She said to Damien who was feeding the chickens in the front yard
"Hey! Jacks in the livingroom and Ry is out in the pasture he should be back in like 10 minutes you can ask Jack where to put your stuff."
"Cool I'm headed inside!" She said pecking Damien on the cheek. He tried to act tough but he was such a sweetheart.

"Hey Jackie!" Shelbi opened the front door and greeted before she saw anyone.
"Hey back here!" Jackie called from down the hall. "In my room."
"Where do you want me to put this? It's just some stuff I might need today. I have no idea why Ryan wants to do tonight."
"Just here on the dresser. You'll have fun I promise. I'm goin out to pasture to help Ry. Wanna come?"
"Sure!"

When they got out with him they helped him herd the sheep and gather Ponies. After that they helped Damien get eggs. At that time it was 745 so they washed up and ate dinner.
"We are going to a bonfire have fun guys!" Jackie told them.
"But not too much! Remember God. Is. Watching. Love yall!" Damien joked and they left.
"Dorks!" they said in unison and laughed.
"Okay you're gonna love this! Tonight we are playing black ops, battlefield, skyrim, and assassin's creed!"
"Really?" Shelbi asked excitedly.
"Yup. Ready to get crushed at battlefield and skyrim?"
"Only if you're ready to get cremed at black ops and assassin's creed!"

With that they played and snacked from about 8:30 to 12:15. When they finally accepted defeat on two of the games and decided they had won the other two they were satisfied.

"This isn't the only thing I planned by the way." Ryan said turning to Shelbi after shutting off the console
"Really? Its... 12:23 in the morning!"
"Yep. C'mon!" Ryan led her to the barn to meet the new pony and select a horse and sattle.
"We are going on a ride? You remembered that I told you I loved midnight rides? It's not even important."
"Everything you say is important to me in some form or fashion. You also said they were best without shoes and along a creek."
"I did say that."

They rode for a while then just sat and talked on their horses for a bit. When they got back to the barn they dismounted, put up the saddles, and went to the hayloft.
"Your 16th birthday is in 3 days. Can you believe it?"
"Technically it's only two because it's nearly two in the morning."
"I can't wait to celebrate with you! It's already been a month and a half since we met. It seems like we've known each other forever."
"Yeah. The only thing I care about is that it means I can drive you around by myself in 3 days. We are getting my license the day after my birthday."
"This hayloft is really comfortable. I guess I'm not going home tonight huh?" Shelbi scooted closer as she spoke then yawned.
"Yeah. I asked your mom and she said it'd be fine as long as my parents were gonna be home all night." Ryan yawned right after her and closed the distance between them.
"This is such a beautiful night." Shelbi sighed she wanted so badly for this night to never end.
"Not as beautiful as you. Nothing could ever come close to being as beautiful as you."
"You are so frickin sweet."
"Why thank you M'lady." Ryan stood quickly and scared Shelbi. "Close your eyes."
"Why?" She asked sorta worried.
"You don't trust me, Clare?"
"Now I dont!"
"Just do it."
As she closed her eyes she realized her heart racing a mile a minute. When she felt his calloused yet soft hands slowlu grab her by the elbows she sucked in a breath.
"You're fine just stand up and keep your eyes closed. I will guide you. Trust is all that's needed."
"Okay."
As she walked she kicked a rake and it fell making her jump and scream.
"Are you okay? It was just rake it was half hanging off anyway you aren't even close to the edge." Her reaction made Ryan freak out and check on her frantically. "We are almost there keep moving. You'll love this."
"Okay." She was breathless from her thoughts of near death.
After a few more steps Ryan spoke again."Okay open your eyes."
"Barn kittens! Ryan these are my weakness! I'm gonna faint! They are so cute!" When she was finished talking she pretended to fall and he caught her.
"Hey you can't fall on my watch."He whispered
When she realized how close his face was to hers her breath hitched and her heart skipped. She was mesmerized by his big, beautiful, bright, blue-grey eyes. As she realized they were getting closer her heart sped up and she panicked for a moment. She didn't even have time to calm down before he was kissing her. Her mind was an explosion of emotion. She could have never explained most of it. She'd been kissed before but it was never like this. She took control and the kiss deepened the more control she had the less control was in their kiss. When they eventually came up for air they were both breathing hard. Then out of no where Ryan started laughing causing Shelbi to laugh too.
"That was... wow. Um... wow. Where did the cats go?" Was the first thing Ryan could say causing Shelbi to laugh harder.
"Hey don't laugh I was being serious! The only one left is Thor! He's the runt."
"He's my favorite. Let's wait till they all come back so Thor isn't alone." Shelbi was happy that Ryan had named this runt of the litter Thor and that they had a reason to sit and just hang out some more.
"Yeah. I like that idea. I think Matilda choose here to have her kits because of the sunlight that comes in through that hole during the day."
"Matilda is very smart I'm sure that's why."

The next morning they woke up in the hay loft with Thor in Shelbi's lap and Matilda in Ryan's.
"Mornin, beautiful." Ryan said waking Shelbi.
"Wha?" She groaned groggily.
"We slept in the hay loft waiting on the cats. Last thing I remember is you picking up Thor and telling me about your safari dream."
"Wow. Okay. What time was that do you think?"
"Like 345 maybe. It's 815 now."
Ryan and Shelbi went inside where everyone and their stuff was.
"Dang mom texted at 700 saying I have to be home by 10."
"You still have time wanna go for a ride down to the creek? After you eat of course," Jackie piped up from the kitchen.
"Sure!" Shelbi and Damien responded in unison.
"I wasn't talking to you! I spent all yesterday evening with you!" Jackie replied causing Damien to make a face and everyone else to laugh.

When Shelbi and Jackie got back Ryan was feeding chickens and it was 930.
"We should probably leave we have quite a drive to my house and if I wanna be back on time we need to leave in the next like 5 minutes," Shelbi didn't want to leave but also didn't want to get in trouble so she took the smart way out and Damien took her home.
