(Claire's POV)
I walked into the large dinning room behind Haze, trying not to attack him before Arthur gave the word.
I'm a slayer! I should be able to kill him. But didn't Arthur say that I needed a weapon? Uggggggg! Why must this be so difficult.
The dinning room was smaller than the grand hall, one house in length and height, and marble walls and floor with sapphires embedded in it.
Haze sat down at the end of the long white table, candles lined the center, along with an assortment of meats and cups filled with blood. I swallowed down my bile at the sight of the red liquid. I hated vampires and blood.
"Claire dear~ would you be so kind as to go let Lord Bishop in?" Asked Haze in a bored voice.
"Yes M'lord," I said flatly and exited the room. I walked over to the entrance of the castle and opened the door, showing a fake smile.
"Hello. You must be Lord Bishop. We've been expecting you. Please follow me to Lord Haze." The man standing before me was dressed like Haze, with red eyes and short green hair. He smiled at me with a choking grin and nodded. I lead him to the dinning room, where Haze excitedly led Bishop to the table where both of them began to eat.
"Its so good to see you again Bishop. Hows the west section doing?" Bishop laughed and joked.
"Better then the north eh?" This hit a nerve. I could visibly see Hazes face twist into a mask of rage, then quickly change back to his calm, smiling face.
He chuckled a slight laugh and played along with Bishop's banter.
"Yes, yes. I guess your right. Anyway, shall we get on to business? You didn't just come all this way to chat did you?" Bishop's face went still for a moment.
"Yes, but before we start, shouldn't you have her," he pointed to me, "Leave. What if she's a spy?" Haze laughed.
"Little Claire here? How funny! She's the most loyal servant I have here. She would die for me. Wouldn't you Claire." I nodded with little expression. Bishop sighed and nodded.
"Well as you know, recently, the humans have found a way to kill us." Haze nodded.
"I'm aware. What of it?"
"Well, we believe that they are planning an attack on the capital. Jades domain." Haze snorted.
"Why should we care about what happens to Jade? She can handle herself."
"No she can't. If she goes down, then so do the rest of us. She's the one who supplies our soldiers and weapons remember?" Haze sat back in his chair.
"Yes, unfortunately I do remember. What about the weapon that the humans found. What is it exactly?" Bishop shrugged.
"All I know is they found a way to kill us. Now, let's just enjoy my time here before I have to leave." Haze sighed and nodded, still confused and with so many questions. I was getting anxious waiting for Arthur to call out.
What if he got caught? What if he was lying to play a trick on me?
All the possibilities flashed through my head as the two vampires were about to finish their meals. Then I heard Arthur yell,
"NOW!"
I used all my strength and leaped up above the two vampires, jumping further than I imagined I could. Then I was thrown farther by the explosion that hit that table and it sent me flying over Bishop. I heard Haze yell something to one of the guards, but was too focused on Arthur to really care. I ran to him and he turned around, both of us sprinting out of the dinning room. Behind me I could hear Haze yelling for the guards to go after us. I didn't turn around. We ran for a good 20 minutes before stopping at a balcony in a guest room.
"Ready to jump?" Asked Arthur. I nodded and he jumped into a crouched position on the balcony. Then with all his might, he flew off the edge. I quickly followed him off the egde, swinging myself over. I landed perfectly next to him and we took off again. When we were about 5 miles away from the castle, we stopped to catch our breath.
"Man... I didn't.... Think we'd.... Ever lose them," said Arthur in between breaths. I nodded, still not able to speak. I took a second to look Arthur over, looking at his blonde hair and green eyes. Finally after a moment to catch my breath, I said,
"What now? We got out, so now where do we go?" Arthur did a, 'oh right' face, and pulled out a little sphere. It was made entirely of a smooth metal, and had no other special looks. Arthur tossed it up into the air and it stopped mid air. Then he stepped under it and motioned for me to do the same. Carefully, I stepped under it too.
"Ok teleporter. Take us to the Hull," Arthur command. I thought he was crazy, until the sphere flashed and then we were somewhere else entirely. The room we were now in was a command room of sorts, with lots of computers and technology everywhere. People paid us little attention as they passed us, working on papers or just walking. Arthur caught the sphere when it fell, put it in his pocket, and then walked into the room. When he did, it got completely silent and all eyes were on him. I followed him and that earned me a few stares as well, a few even began to whisper.
What the hell's their problem? Did I already do something wrong?
We exited the room and it instantly filled with whispers.
Cowards. Not wanting to talk in front of us. Whats with that anyway?
We walked down a long a hallway to a room labeled Angel's room and Arthur knocked. On the other side, I could hear someone stumble around and call out,
"You can come in!"
Arthur opened the door and I was met with a messy room, with papers scattered everywhere, and a girl wearing a lab coat with long brown hair and glasses that covered her hazel eyes, was laying in the middle of the mess.
"You seriously can't not make a mess can you Angel?" Arthur asked the girl as he bent down to help her pick up some of the papers.
"Guess I can't. By the way, who is that you have with you? Is she the new slayer?" He nodded and introduced us.
"Claire, this is Angel. She's the one who found out about slayers. Angel, this is Claire. She's the first slayer we found outside our base."
"I kinda knew that Arthur." Then the two went to work on cleaning the room. I smiled and began to help them.
Hope that they can actually help me with my plan to kill all the vampires.Hey guys!(and gals) Hoped you enjoyed the second part of End game, and if you want more, make sure to comment down ideas of how the book should go.(I might use some of your ideas) Good morning, afternoon, and night to you.
