(Claire's POV)
I jumped over the blue arrow and swung my sword towards Zanes neck. I stopped right before I hit him, and he was frozen in fear.
"Dead," I said, ending the match. Zane sighed and got up, a look of defeat on his face.
"Hey, good match you two. I'm going to train Sadie now. Practice on your own for an hour before you leave," said Arthur before standing and leaving with Sadie. I nodded and put Erebus in his sheath.
"Hey, um, Claire," said Zane. I turned to him.
"Whats up?"
"Yea, um, I was wondering if you'd like to train together. You know, since Peter and Lily ate training together." He looked down at the ground.
"Yea, sure. Keep up." I said with a smile before taking off.
"Hey hold up!" He called.

(45 minutes later)
Zane calmly aimed his Energy Bow at the target about as mile away.
"Can you really shoot the target from over here?" I asked, looking at the target from in my own scope.
"Yea, just let me focus," he replied quietly. He aimed once more, and a moment later, there was a new hole in the center of the target.
"Bulls eye! Holy crap you actually hit it!" He shrugged nonchalantly.
"Guess I'm just a really good sniper." He looked sad when he said that.
"Is something wrong?"
"Uh, no it's nothing. Just thinking about my family." I gave him a confused look.
"You have family? Like brothers and sisters?" He nodded.
"Yea. Only brothers though. A vampire killed my parents and then my brothers joined the front lines. I don't even know if they're alive or not. They both went missing after two battles."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I never knew my parents because I was raised in the forest and then captured by Haze. It must be really hard for you." I placed a hand on his shoulder.
"But that's no reason to worry. I'm sure they're fine. They probably just got lost or something." Zane nodded and looked at his watch.
"Oh, looks like times up. We can leave whenever we want." He stood.
"I'm going to the lounge. What about you?" I shrugged.
"I guess I'll go check on the others." He nodded for the last time before walking off. I patted Erebus and walked the opposite way of Zane to the training room. Once there, I found Peter on the ground, and Lily standing triumphantly over him.
"I win! Haha!" Lily shouted. Peter sighed and groaned.
"You won again? Man Peter you need to get stronger," I said, walking over to help him up.
"Yea, don't even know why I chose a Lance as my weapon. Probably should have chose a gun or something." I laughed.
"No Peter, I think you being a Lancer is perfect for you."
"Really?"
"Yea."
"Hey thanks." I nodded.
"Little little humans. Such fools. I will kill you all," said a demonic voice. We all turned to the voice and found a boy with black hair and red eyes staring at us, a evil look on his face. Peter pulled his Lance from his back, Lily grabbed her fists, and I drew Erebus. The boy looked possessed as he held up his hand and a staff appeared in his hand. It too glowed with an evil aura. He charged at us, swinging his spear wildly. But before we could react, he was shot with a glowing blue arrow. He fell to the ground without a sound and Zane jogged up to us.
"Nice shoot'n Zane. That was a perfect shot," said Lily, patting his shoulder.
"It was nothing," he replied, obviously trying to sound cool. Peter began to laugh.
"Really Zane? You trying to sound cool is funny," he joked.
"Really? Is that so? How about you try it then and see how good you are," he snapped back challengly.
"Your on," he said, grabbing Zanes bow and aiming at a drink sitting on a ledge. He fired the bow and missed it badly. Lily and I laughed. Zanes shook his head and took the bow back, aiming at the same drink. He took a deep breath and shot the arrow. It hit the bottle dead on.
"Holy- that was a good shot Zane. Guess it is a little hard..." Zane did something I didn't expect. He laughed. This surprised all of us.
"Oh my god.... Is Zane laughing?!" Exclaimed Peter.
"The world is ending. Lets make a run for it," said Lily.
"You guys are weird. I'm glad you're my friends," he said. We all smiled.

(Midnight)
I couldn't sleep. That boy was stuck in my mind and it was messing with me.
"Erebus. What was he?" I asked the void.
"He was a boy that tried to use a demon weapon. Didn't you see the dark aura around him?" I nodded, staring at the ceiling. Then I heard a knock on the door. I got up and answered the door. Zane, Peter, and Lily were there, wait quietly.
"Guys? Its midnight, what are you doing up?" Lily shuffled her hands, Zane looked at the ground, and Peter looked at me hopefully.
"We want to get demon weapons," he whispered. I stared at him, knowing what would happen if they failed getting one.
"No, I can't let you guys do that. Your not-" Lily cut me off.
"Yes we are. We all found the marks," she said showing me a dragon mark on the side of her right thigh. Peter lifted his shirt and he had one on his stomach, and Zane had one on his neck. I was surprised, and just looked at them.
"We didn't realise what made you a slayer, until Zane saw you had a dragon mark on your shoulder. Then we looked and we all had one. Please Claire, let us try. If we fail then oh well," pleaded Lily.
"You know what'll happen if you fail right?" I said, staring into their eyes. They shook their heads, but still looked determined.
"Fine. I do it." They got excited.
"But only with Arthur's permission." They just nodded excitedly. I got dressed and went to Arthur's room. We knocked on the door and waited. Finally he opened the door.
