End Game

Demons

(Arthur's POV)
The recent test subject for the demon weapons test was killed. He got possessed and then made his way to training room, where he was shot by Squad 13's Zane.
I tapped my finger on my desk. It was bad enough that we only had two slayers, but to be forcing other people to try and get a demon weapon, just looked desperate. I sighed and stood up, walking over to my bed and looking at the double golden axes that laid there.
"Chrysos," I said sitting next to the axes.
"Yes?" Replied a quiet female voice.
"Tell me about possession." The axe demon was quiet for a moment.
"Well, it's a little hard to explain. See, when ever someone tries to use a demon weapon, they are using their soul force to take over the demon. If their soul force isn't powerful enough, then the deomn has a window to jump to their soul and take it over. But if it is powerful enough, then they over take the demon and can use the sword."
"Ah, I see." I heard footsteps outside and then a knock at the door.
Who could it be at this hour? Is it an intruder? No, an intruder wouldn't knock on the door. Might as well see who it is.
I opened the door and found my squad waiting.
"What are you all doing up this late?"
"You should ask them. I was about to go to sleep," said Claire, looking completely exhausted.
"Arthur," said Peter in a superior tone. "We want to get our own demon weapons. Just today we all found out we are slayers." I stiffened. They all showed me their marks to show that they weren't lying.
I can't feel their marks. Odd.
"Alright. We'll do it in the morning. But right now get some rest. Its late." I shut the door and went back to my bed. I collapsed into it and fell into sleep.

(Claire's POV) (Morning)
We all waited for Arthur and Angel to get here. We waited outside the door to the cellar and chatted.
"Oh yea, hey Claire," said Lily. "Last night you said something about what happens if we fail. What does happen?" I tensed up. I turned to face all of them. After a moment to prepare myself, I said,
"You get possessed and we have to kill you." Their eyes sent wide.
"You didn't tell us this," said Peter in disbelief. I just nodded with my head down. I raised it when I heard Angel's voice.
"Oh my, there's an entire Squad here. Lets hope you all pass," she said, unlocking the door and stepping inside. We all followed her to the room where I got Erebus and she locked the door again. She explained how it would work and then sent them to find a weapon. Lily found a pair of Claw Gauntlets, Peter found a light blue Lance, and Zane found a blue bow(picture).
"Okay, let's do this one at a time. Lily, how about you first?" Suggested Arthur. Lily nodded nervously.
"Hey Lily, it's ok. Just know that everything you see in there is a trick. Stay true to yourself and you'll be ok."
"Thanks Claire," she said laying down and grabbing the Claw Gauntlet. Her eyes fell closed and she went still.
"What happened? Why did she go still?" Asked Zane.
"She's meeting the demon," I said readying Erebus. Arthur did the same with his axes and we waited. We waited for about 10 minutes before she twitched. I stood up and watched as Lily sat up.
"Lily," I said calmly. She turned to me.
"What is my name?" She tilted her head in confusion.
"Well Claire, duh." I smiled and lowered my weapon.
"She's now a slayer," said Arthur. Peter gave a loud laugh as he patted Lily's shoulder, and Zane smiled softly while congratulating her.
"Now it's your turn Zane," said Angel excitedly. Zane nodded and went over to his weapon. He laid down and grabbed the weapon. Just like Lily, after 10 minutes, he woke, we asked him what Angel's name was and he told us. But then it got to Peter's turn and he laid down next to the Lance. He grabbed it and we waited. After 10 minutes, he began to spass. Arthur jumped up and went to grab him, but was too late and got thrown back by Peter. He stood there like a statue before turning to Lily and grinning.
"Poor boy. His soul wasn't strong enough. Oh well, now I can kill all his beloved friends!" Peter lunged at Lily, who used her Claws to block the Lance that Peter thrust at her. Arthur ran at him, swinging his Axes at Peter. Peter jumped back and did a flip in the air. Zane, now behind a pillar, notched an arrow and sent it flying at Peter. Peter saw this and dodged the arrow easily. I stood in front of Angel and protected her from the fighting.
We have to kill Peter. No no no no, this can't be right. We can't kill Peter.
I ran at Peter with full force and swung my sword.
"Peter snap out of it. You big dumb idiot!" I yelled. He barely dodged the blow and growled at me.
"This Peter you speak of is gone. I'm now in control."
"I refuse to believe that." And something came to my mind.
Erebus, can you take over Peters soul and give him back control?
"Yes, I can."
"Alright then. EREBUS! LEND ME YOUR POWER!" I yelled to the void. I felt a surge of power in my veins. I darted forward and tackled Peter, holding him to the ground.
"Possession," I said to his face, and felt a surge of power be released onto Peter. He yelled in his demonic voice before collapsing and falling into unconsciousness. The energy I felt before was now gone, leaving me tired. I looked at Peter, who was slowly getting up while being surrounded by the others.
"Peter, what's her name?" I could faintly hear Arthur say.
"Her names Claire." I heard a relieved sigh from Arthur before I passed out.

5 slayers now. Ba bam! Well that's all for today!
Willow: What? No bet you didn't see that comings, or woo yaas?
