(Zane's POV)
All the other lords jumped at people of the group. Lord Garth jumped at me and my somehow alive brothers, swinging his Ruby sword like he was mad. I've heard that lord Garth was very battle hungry, and this proved it. Garroth pulled out his blue sword and lunged at Garth. Garth blocked and turned to dodge Vylad's attack with his twin knives. Vylad slashed at Garth's head, but missed only by a few inches since Garth moved. I darted a few feet away and notched an arrow, aiming at the swiftly moving Garth. I calmed my racing heart and thought about the day my brothers died.

Flashback(yes already)
I walked through the snow after my Squad. The day hadn't been a good one, and so far we lost every catch we were about to make. I shivered a little and pulled my jacket closer to myself. I heard a crunch in the woods and pulled out my enchanted bow, aiming it into the darkness. Then I saw a rabbit and shot it in the back. The rest of the Squad saw this and congratulated me on the shot. We went to pick up the rabbit, then saw it had been sick before we shot it, so I took the arrow and we went back to base.
Once we reached base, I was frozen in fear. I looked down at the bodies of my two brothers, both with cuts going very deep in their chests. I had no words, and I couldn't feel anything. I heard voices that seemed to be very far away but I didn't respond. I just wanted to be alone.
"Why," was all I could manage out.
"Why dose everything I love die?" Then I ran. I ran as fast and as far as I could, my brothers dead faces flashing through my mind and making me run even faster and farther. After running for what felt like hours, I stopped when I tripped over a stump. I slowly got up, crawled over to it, and sat with my knees pulled up to my face. I cried, softly, as the snow fell quietly and unforgiving. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a girl with long blonde hair and green eyes and a boy with red hair and blue eyes.
"Hey.... Are you Zane?" Asked the girl. I nodded, not ready to trust my words.
"Awesome! Ok we need you to come with us. Arthur of Squad 13 and General Bricksha want to see you." She grabbed my hand and began pulling me along, back towards the base. The boy and I just followed her quietly until we reached Bricksha's room. We opened the door and the smell of smoke and lavender hit my nose like a truck. General Bricksha sat at his desk and the man I assumed as Arthur sat across from him.
"Ah Lily, Peter. Please come in," said Arthur. His gaze turned to me and fell sadly. The two walked in, myself still in tow, and shut the door. I awkwardly sat next to Arthur and waited for Bricksha to speak.
"Zane, I heard about your recent loss," he started. I just stared at him.
"Well.... I think we're going to move you into Squad 13 with Arthur," he said finally. I gave him a surprised look.
"So from now on. You'll be in Squad 13."

End Flashback
That was the happiest and saddest day of my life. The memory filled me with power and I took aim. I shot the arrow at Garth and it hit him in the arm. He yelled out and jumped away from Garroth and Vylad. I then aimed at his leg and shot him in the thigh. Again, he yelled out in pain, and stumbled to the ground. Then with a flash, he summoned his monster. His monster was a Centaur, a half horse half man. The creature charged at my brothers, sword in hand, and swung a heavy blow at Vylad. Vylad went flying back into a wall and Garroth got enraged. He flung himself at the Centaur, just like he would have when we were kids, and swung at it's face. His blade did hit his face, only scratching out one eyes, before the Centaur kicked Garroth away. This time it was my turn to be enraged. I pulled back and three arrows appeared. I fired and only one hit it's mark, landing straight in it's other eye. It yelled out in pain and began to rock back and forth widely. Then, after calming my racing heart again, I took aim at its heart and fired. The arrow landed in it's chest and the creature fell down with a loud grunt. I then turned my attention to Garth, who somehow managed to pull the arrows out of his arm and leg. I smirked at him, something I normally don't do, and aimed at his face.
"Long live humanity then?" He asked as he accepted death. I nod and shoot his in the head. Then quickly I run over to Vylad and help him up, moving him over to a pillar where Garroth is standing. I lift Vylad into Garroths arms and he sets him down.
"Thank you for helping my brother," he said.
"I know that your my brothers. You don't have to lie anymore and you can tale off the mask," I said, looking happily at Garroth. He gave me a joyful look before pulling off the mask. His blonde hair fell down neatly and his blue eyes sparkled. Then I was blinded by a flash of white light. I turned around to see a boy with white hair and green eyes standing before Haze. He growled at Haze before growing bat-like wings, pulling out Claire's sword, and dashing at Haze.
