End Game

Infection

(Arthur's POV)
I was quietly talking with Chrysos while Lily talked with Incendo.
Chrysos, you've been acting strange lately. Is something wrong?
Before she could answer, I felt a rush of energy flow through me and I fell to the ground. I heard Lily fall too and our weapons fell around us. The last thing that I heard and saw before I blacked out was people running to us and their voices fading to black.

(Claire's POV)
I called for help when I saw Zane and Peter walk over to the training room. They sprinted over to me when they saw Arthur and Lily on the ground.
"What happened Claire?" Peter asked in a hurried panic.
"I don't know! I was in the training room when I heard a loud thump and a scream, then came over there to find them like this. Hurry, we need to get them to the medical wing," I said, lifting Arthur off the ground and using myself like a crutch, began to walk/drag him away. Peter and Zane did the same for Lily, all of us reaching the medical wing and receiving confused stares and people rushing over to help us.
After we got them on beds, the nurses began to try and figure out what was wrong with them, while a few offices asked us what happened. We told them that I found them after I went into the training room and heard the yell. After explaining everything to them, they let us see Lily and Arthur. They were still asleep when we came back in, and still looked no better.
"So, what's wrong with them?" I asked Peter after a moment of awkward silence.
"Well... We're not entirely sure but.... We believe they have a disease that comes from their weapons. Its a disease that demons get commonly and we think it was passed to them through their weapons," said one nurse. Zane nodded as if he understood.
"If it's a demons disease, then it could be Insanabilis," he said, deep in thought.
"Insanabilis?! Do you really think..." She trailed off.
"Yes I do. They show a lot of symptoms that are caused by it." The nurse nodded slowly, taking in every word.
"Wait Zane, how do you know about demon illnesses?" Peter quietly asked.
"I just happened upon a book that contained demons illnesses and their cures. I believe I can cure them. Ill need coal dust, an albino lizard tail, and a pot of boiling water." The nurse nodded, barked a command at the other nurses, and hurried off to get the items. Zane sat down next to the unconscious members of our team and sighed. Peter looked worriedly at Lily before sitting down next to Zane. I quietly stalked away to talk alone with Erebus. I found a abandoned lobby and took a seat.
Erebus, what is wrong with Arthur and Lily? Do you know?
"Yes. I've seen this before. Once, a demon I knew caught it and he was unconscious and had those black marks for days! It messed with his abilities and he was a mess." I was slightly relieved to hear that they'd be ok, but still worried about their demons.
"They'll be alright. Chyrsos and Incendo are strong demons and when they're cured, so will Arthur and Lily." I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding in. I sat there quietly, just listening to the silence, before Peter came for me.
"Zanes done with the cure. Come on." I got up and followed him back to the medical wing. Zane was tapping his foot to an unknown beat while sitting a few feet away from the entrance. Peter motioned for me to follow and we went inside. If I had been prepared to see what was in that room, then I wouldn't have been frozen in fear, completely terrified. In the medical room, there now lay more people with the same markings as Lily and Arthur. Peter was also in shock, and without looking at him, I could hear that he fell to the floor.
"W-w-what is happening to t-them? Isn't this a disease brought on by demons!?" Screeched Peter. The nurse nodded, and went to check the patients.

"Zane I thought you said that this was a disease caused by demons. So how did they catch it?" I said, turning to catch a hurrying Zane. He shrugged.

"I don't know. I did manage to cure Lily and Arthur though. I think the disease can spread to others." Both Peter and I nodded and went to one of the nurses to ask if we could help.

"It's greatly needed. Go check in with the two you brought in Zane. Peter, go help with the carrying of the patients. Claire, help mix the materials for the cure. Go go! Hurry!" We all split to our jobs quickly and got to work. About 20 people had been infected after Lily and Arthur, so we had to hurry before others got infected.

Luckily, after a 10 minutes of mixing ingredients, we managed to cure everyone. I sighed as I gazed over the people, looking at all the people I just saved. Then my mind flashed to the vampire threat that was still out there.
Lets hope we can defeat the rest of the threat before we lose anyone else.

(Unknown POV)
"HAHAHAH PERFECT! THE PLANS GOING PERFECTLY!"Laughed Jade. She brushed back a long strand of black hair and her red eyes sparkled.
"Tell Haze and Bishop that we'll be ready to strike soon," she commanded a servant.
"Yes M'lady."
The servant took off and left the female vampire alone.
Soon we'll final be able to wipe that pathetic race off the face of the earth. Or, at least take control of the humans who have control over the last remaining ones.
She laughed to herself quietly and then turned and walked out of the room.

Its coming. Very soon it's coming. The End for all races.
Willow: Why do you have to make it sound like it's a movie trailer?
Silver: Cause I can
Willow: ...
Silver: Plus I just saw a cool movie so...
Willow: *shakes head and sighes*
